Flysimware Cessna 414A

Looking closely at this aircraft.

I haven’t been buying aircraft for some time… I got FS 2020 on Steam - what’s the best place (assuming there are options) to purchase add-on aircraft?

Usually from the developer itself. The downside is having a bunch of different accounts on several sites.

Still no update on Simmarket. I thought it was supposed to take 24-48 hours.

Being totally honest, I have a lot of respect for this developer and bought this directly from his site and I have absolutely no regrets. The support on discord is excellent and the number of updates we have received after full launch is, I believe, exemplary. That said, the download speed on the website is pretty slow but I am more than happy to put up with this for the quality of service we are receiving :slightly_smiling_face:

This is not always due to “Simmarket” itself. I remember about 6 months ago an update for an aircraft didn’t come out from “SM” for ages and I sent an email. They assured me at that time that unfortunately they had not received the update from the developer. Only when “SM” then urged the developer did they receive the update one day later.
I’m waiting for it too - so what, we’ll fly the updates on Monday

Stating again that Flysimware sometimes intentionally withholds builds from SimMarket to make sure things are going smoothly before distributing the file outside of their own store. I’m not in favor of the practice, but if that’s what’s happening you can’t really put all the blame on SimMarket. I have my own gripes with them, but speed is not one of them. They are almost always the first to have updates.

Ok - couldn’t they just make it available with a disclaimer?

Can anyone tell me why the rudder is completely shifted to the right? i own this plane on xbox.

Update 3.3.1 is now available on SimMarket :v:

Had the same problem time to time. Flipping the rudder side to side manually and deactivate the AP helped in my case.

Please give us the option to remove these awful new lights. It’s such a cheap looking effect. I wish I’d kept the previous installer.

V 3.3.1 Hotfix

NEW FEATURES:

1. New Light is now integrated into the Flysimware’s C414AW Chancellor. This updates and improves all exterior lighting.

NOTE: Important that if you already have the - z-Newlight-settinglight-C414A folder in your sims community folder you need to remove this folder to prevent conflict as it’s now already included by default. Feel free to keep using the New Light addon for other aircraft which will require these folders… z-Newlight-effects-Light(essential) or z-Newlight-effects-Flare(optional) and the folder for the aircraft.

I don’t have the ‘New Light’ addon nor would I want it if this is what it looks like. Who the heck thought this was a good idea??

After downloading the update from Simmarket I was expecting the weather radar to work. It’s still inactive and there are no clickspots on it. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to turn it on with the top right knob. You should see it’s currently pointing to off. Only the top and middle knobs do anything.

Currently “3 hours left” for a 1.4 GB file. This should be downloadable in under 2 minutes on my connection. Guess their servers are in trouble right now.

Unfortunately there is no clickspot anywhere on that panel for me. It’s a shame, I was looking forward to using it on my Alaskan journey. I guess it’s time to abandon the 414 now that I bought the Black Square King Air anyway. It has a functional weather radar, imagine!

On the dev’s Discord there is active discussion about it and the flare effect you’re seeing is going to be removed as well as the deicing light being switched back to default. The other lights do look pretty good though. Edit: Maybe, looks like he’s having trouble, so it sounds like they’ll instruct users how to remove that effect.

Thank you.

Sorry, can you tell me if this plane can make RNAV-type landings? I tried today but he didn’t go down and stayed at 3000 feet. I probably couldn’t. I state that on the GNS530 it was on gps. Thank you
