Had a weird one recently on one of the taxiway bridges that passes over a road. The AI traffic in front of me (FSLTL injected AI) dropped down and sunk to the road level when it should have been on this overpass taxiway then once it got to the other side it popped back up again. This was on SU15 beta at FT EHAM. Not sure I’ve ever seen that before. I don’t know if it’s a beta thing a sim AI thing or a FT EHAM thing.
Never seen this on FT EHAM with FSLTL. I’m not on the beta though. Does this happen at V taxiway, or at the new overpass (formerly txyway Q) at the South of the airport?
I knew someone would ask that and the truth is I didn’t take note as I had only limited time to get to the gate (real life getting in the way).
I now wish I had noted which one. It was after 18R landing and long taxi in but on the outer taxiway that circles the gates. If I was to take a guess (and I don’t know where underpasses are located), I’d say somewhere between A21 and A16, but I can’t be entirely sure. If someone knows where the overpasses are I might be able to narrow it down.
I should say I’ve flown into FT EHAM probably 100 times now and I hadn’t seen this before either. So maybe a SU15 beta thing? ![]()
It’s not as smooth as I’d like over here. I’ve got a faily powerfull system and other airports often run smooth, but FT EHAM often stutters, even when I’m still quite far away from the airport. Don’t know if it’s SU14 related or something else, but all in it’s a reasonable addon regarding details and looks, but I feel like it’s questionable in terms of performance. There seem to be quite a few folks with stutter issues like me. Flytampa customer service also isn’t great and updates aren’t regular like for example Inibuilds and Mk studios. Hopefull tho for an update from flytampa for a further round of optimization and quality improvements. Hoping that SU15 also helps
With airliners I run FSLTL with IFR set at 50, and historic at 10. I’m on a reasonable system 5950/3090 at 4k TAA, dX11, and I only get 28-30FPS with my TLOD set to 100. Very usable, but I do have to keep AI traffic and TLOD dialed down to keep CPU from limiting, but that is true with any major hub with AI added in.
Ps. I’m on SU15 beta and I’ve not seen any dramatic FPS increases anywhere.
Yes, around A19 is also an overpass. If i had to do a guess: It’s one of Asobo’s many AI traffic issues, that FSLTL and FS Traffic can’t fix.
28-30 is more than enough, totally agree with that. I’m on a 5900x/6700xt. The fps isn’t the issue, it’s more the stutters which are just annoying. It comes in during the descent even well away from the airport and it stays stuttery even after landing. Departure is a lot better but still not as good as some other sceneries. Will have to do some testing tho with actual numbers rather than feeling to make a definitive statement tho.
Did quick test stationary at gaya simulations vienna V2. on my system, flytampa EHAM consumes about 2-3gb more vram. Vienna might be a bit smaller, but I would argue it’s slightly more detailed than schiphol. This gives me a think it is rather poorly optimised
I disagree - if anything, EHAM may have a slight edge when it comes to details ( I have both) and it must be at least 5 times the size of Vienna if not more. If we were to increase Gaya Vienna’s size by that much, I speculate, it will become rather unusable.

Hi - just seen your message - I haven’t used Schipol since the update I’ll log on now and see what it’s like and post here in a bit. Corfu is fine on mine except for some LOD issues which is affecting everything on X Box at the moment

The good - in the Cirrus no issues re black screens - so long as you start each flight by exiting the sim. Had black screens when starting a new flight without restarting.
No stutters but obviously this scenery is very demanding so while smooth it’s not as smooth as others on taxi still good though.
The not so good.
Like everyone on XBox we are seeing reduction in ground texture quality/LOD issues. Pop ins are an issue on arrival and the airport detail is ok but move away at it suffers - blurred taxi ways and lots of ground pop in / but this is the case with lots of airports at the moment with the current state of the sim on X Box post SU15. Hoping for some improvement when SU16 is released or we enter next beta but we aren’t sure what to fully expect with XBox X re memory gains / still more clarification needed.
In conclusion I found it perfectly useable but with the same issues plaguing XBox users on most add ons at the moment re LOD - evident here as this a complex build.

Is there a way to get AI-traffic taxiing the right taxiway? Now for inst. from the H-gates they taxi over taxiway B to S7?!? In rl they take A to A8 and then S7 or depending on traffic they switch to A 1 street earlier…
Runway usage is messed up for most part an rarely matches real world usage at a point in time but I guess scenery devs dont have much control on it.

Honestly, what happened to the original product? It was pretty well optimised upon release but I have a stutter slideshow now …and dont have that anywhere else.
Not sure anything happened to it. We had SU15 which stole some FPS from us. I’m frequently at heavy airports dialling back my TLOD to 70 and IFR traffic in FSLTL to 30 now to match previous perf. Also using lossless scaling ni these situations as it helps a bit at these airports now.
Yes, the performance on this airport has become worse and worse over the past 6 months. And now with SU 15 it’s even worse than INI KJFK. Without dynamic lod it would be unplayable for me.
Runway usage pattern is also a mess, although devs cant do anything about it. ![]()
Yes this is the only airport that brings my 7800x3D to its knees. Hopefully it will be better optimised in the future.
