FlyTampa Toronto CYYZ - Runways missing or sim/mods issue on my end?

Iā€™ve been dealing with this issue for some time now. Despite my posts on the FT forum, there has been no response. Itā€™s disappointing to see such a great airport being neglected like this. The only solution seems to be using Say Intentions software or simply avoiding AI ATC altogether.

If they canā€™t replicate it, they canā€™t fix it.

The fact that people are seeing it with all addons removed from Community, says thereā€™s something in the Official\OneStore directory interfering.

If it were me, Iā€™d say itā€™s likely people have turned off photogrammetry, and FT hasnā€™t looked at it with both Photogrammetry on and off. Thereā€™s huge differences in terrain with photogrammetry turned off, and, terrain editing reacts completely differently with photogrammetry turned on when editing photogrammetry areas.

Or, itā€™s an addon airport or scenery thatā€™s was purchased from the Marketplace causing issues. Or, have users having the problem turned off the Canada WUā€™s since Toronto looks (looked?) so bad?

Thereā€™s a lot of combinations to test here. Iā€™d make tests with removing all addon airports that were purchased from the Marketplace, too (theyā€™re stored in the Official\OneStore directory).

Is this an Xbox vs PC thing?

Itā€™s just the FlyTampa CYYZ that has the issue. They havenā€™t updated the airport in almost 2 years now I believe (as they said creator left FT). Itā€™s also not available on the marketplace so itā€™s not on XBox.

The default CYYZ has all of the runways. Would be nice to have a new or updated CYYZ to resolve the issue (and have on XBox too).

Yes, but, my point was, not everybody is seeing the issue. Leaving the developer issue aside (did the guy take the product with him? Is he selling it under another name? Is it dead? If they had a falling out, and both sides are being recalcitrant about licensing, then thereā€™s no chance of an update)ā€¦ If they canā€™t replicate the problem, thereā€™s no way to fix the problem, thatā€™s all there is.

BTW, the World Map does not match the actual scenery in the game. It essentially matches the Bing data with photogrammetry turned off. When I created my KFIT addon, the world map shows the scenery as it is today with 2/20 closed, but in game, it was open and I had to remove it. If I turned off photogrammetry, (and maybe I had to remove the airport? I forget) the scenery used newer Bing scenery underneath. Which I thought was interesting that the game stores 2 different scenery bases.

In any event, does everyone now see the runway removed? Has anyone tried it with photogrammetry turned off? Is the airport included in the Canada update, and is the Canada update interfering with the FlyTampa scenery?

Understand what you are saying, but everyone who has it installed is seeing the issue. Thatā€™s the problem. Itā€™s not more difficult than that :rofl:

Sorry, I saw several posts here from people who said the airport looks fine for them. Did it get worse recently?

Itā€™s been an issue for anyone that has the latest update of the scenery from back in 2022. If people donā€™t yet download that update, then they were fine. But if they did, they were running into it.

The assumption from the FT team back in 2022 was that they didnā€™t setup those runways as being for takeoffs and just for landings, so thatā€™s why they werenā€™t showing up. No more information was given since then and no update/fix has been provided.

Thanks, but if that is all that is causing the issue, surely they would have fixed it by now. Thereā€™s more to the story.

Iā€™m just taking what information was provided by them on their site. That was the last communication given about the issue back in 2022.

I hope that they havenā€™t abandoned this airport. I would love to see a lite version without the interior textures, etc. The current version is very heavy on frames and brings my system to its knees.
