Force Feedback Thread - Any news and latest developments here!

Yes.
I need to revisit to confirm the sequence to start the XP force.
I think the first thing to do is to take it off automatic load and sim starting.

Thats the tricks working for me. Disable autostart in XPForce, the autostart try to launch msfs2020. I load XPForce before starting msfs2024 and it’s ok.
My biggest problem ist XPForce didn’t read the streamed default airplanes names. Always try to use a config.xpfc for them.
@Merlin664554 did you change the simmconnect.dll or do you use the default on from XPForce?

Wow didn’t saw that there ist as MSFS2024 update available

Made 24. November

Just used the defaults as starters

I got XP Force to work last night. Found a site that specifically stated XP Force for MSFS 2020 AND MSFS 2024. I downloaded it and it works. Automatically starts MSFS 2024 but for 10 minutes. You need to buy a license again for this version for around $15, then it continues to work. I really like it and I used it this morning on a few flights. Works fine with my Microsoft FF2 joystick.

Hello everyone,

Apologies if this topic has already been discussed, but what about real Force Feedback support in FS2024? It seems to be the only PC-based flight simulator that still doesn’t support it.

It’s astonishing that 25 years ago, earlier versions of Flight Simulator already included this feature (even working properly with the basic but accurate Microsoft Sidewinder FFB1 and FFB2 joysticks), and now it doesn’t.

Flying with actual Force Feedback — feeling the ground roll, gear movements, turbulence, and so on — is on a completely different level. Needless to say, for light aircraft, gliders, and similar types, the difference is huge. For me, that’s precisely what separates FS2024 from being a true modern simulator and not just an advanced game.

In MSFS 2024, the MOZA AB9 does not receive real physical forces. What is perceived in many videos are vibrations simulated through limited telemetry, which depend heavily on the aircraft — the default ones respond more than the Fenix, for example. There is no real physical difference between taxiing and flying, as we can find in IL2, DCS and X-Plane 12.

If FS2024 is being developed by true flight simulation enthusiasts, how can there be no plans to implement real Force Feedback support in the simulator?

Thanks.

this will never come…

I disagree. The number of motion rigs and platforms out there is already amazing and growing. The noise level is going to get louder and louder to pay attention to this. Sound and FFB immersion are key to all sims, even this one.

People with motion post a lot and pic/ videos are impressive.

But in % not that many.

Same for triple screen.

Just posted this! This is my last post on this topic till someone replies, don’t want to spam the forum.. but I think many of you force feedback people will love this app. I made it. It’s totally free. Cross-platform, multi-sim.
