Create a folder on your PC
Called Microsoft Flight Simulator
In the following location
C:\users<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator
Then copy from your 2024 folder the UserOpt.config into it. That’s all you need to do.
Any installer e.g. Just flight will now work and install the planes into your 2024 folder and the DRM will work.
I say create the folder because I totally deleted 2020 from system and uninstalled everything.
I got my Turbine Duke back now!!!
Not everything will work. But so far the Duke and tomahawk working for me. No issues no tablet failed due to DRM.

Ah, this is very straightforward. Thank you from someone else with FS2020 fully uninstalled. Giving it a try!

Cool. But I assume this only works if 2020 is uninstalled?
Kind of unbelievable that this doesn’t just work out of the box 6 weeks after launch…

Does not work for me. I have the Duke in msfs24, but the tablet and some other things are not working. Is there something else you have to do with the config file?
If you still have 2020 installed it’s even easier. Just install to the 2020 community as normal or add ons folder if using add ons linker and then copy/paste it into the 2024 community or add ons folder.

No, I have both working the Turbine Duke and the PA-38 working. One thing I forgot to add was the Pa-38 creates a folder in the Dummy 2020 folder called “Packages\justflight-aircraft-pa38”. You need to move the folder “justflight-aircraft-pa38” of that folder to the 2024 Folder
C:\Users<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\WASM\MSFS2020"justflight-aircraft-pa38"
Also Once you are done if you do not have 2020 installed rename the dummy folder to something like “Microsoft Flight Simulator_Dummy” before you start the sim

The Microsoft Flight Simulator folder was already there and contained the justflight aircraft rj folder (I installed the RJ).
There’s no duke folder after installation in that folder after installation.
That is correct
No Juke Folder Only for the PA-38
Great info, thanks! I was able to get the Tomahawk working with no license failure. I have the sim (MS Store version) installed to my E: drive so the key for me was to copy that justflight packages folder to WpSystems folder on that drive at this long address:
E:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-82148495-2262063550-886405542-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2020
There are some bugs that Just Flight will need to fix but mainly just with the tablet walkaround mode, otherwise the plane works great, really nice to have this one back in 2024.

Using addon linker for 2024 lets you keep all local content on an separate drive. Just install into your main addons library and use addon linker to create the folders in the 2024 community folder.
Yes that’s also what I mentioned.
