Glad to hear! I´m working on a fix for next patch, but I´m not sure if it will work anyway singe may be a problem with the indexes messed up for some user with each update (i.e. not a problem of the mod I´m afraid)
Thank for sharing!
Another update. Main Terminal almost ready. I still have to tweak some textures thought. This is not the final placement of the building, it will have accurate surroundings according to existing reference. I hope to be realising final version soon!
OMG! That’s beautiful.
I’m stunned, that is amazing work. As many have started, this mod really brings me back to my Apple II E flying in and out of Meigs back before it was even Microsoft. Many years later I got my PPL IRL and got the chance to fly out of a small field in the Northwestern suburbs with a friend of mine and flew to Meigs, parked the plane and took a cab to the magnificent mile to have lunch. It was an amazing experience and now I can do it virtually once again. Now all I need is a Piper Cherokee to complete reliving that day.
Looking forward to an update of this already great scenery!
Its NOT compatible with Chicago City designed from drzewieckidesign !! Or ? Meigs won´t show up anymore.
Wow, looks absolutely amazing. But…
When released, would there be any chance of a version without the detailed interiors too? Not everyone has a killer PC, yet we’d still love to enjoy your work in some way.
It should be… if for some reason it doesn’t show, try the trick of installing the previous version and going back to 1.4. I will release a new version soon trying to fix this
Despite the look, it’s still low poly. I have an average PC and works fine. Anyway I will also include LODs for the interiors (ie they will only show when you are close, in order to save FPS). Hope to release the new version during the incoming week
Awesome mate, I can’t wait!
It works for me. I posted some pictures of Meigs working with the Drzewiecki Design scenery. Perhaps you have some other add-on conflicting?
About having several scenery mods in the same area, I just wonder: X-plane has a scenery pack ini file in which we have to chose the order of priority and the layering. Is there something similar for MSFS?
For what I’ve read, it seems the mods are loaded in alphabetical order according to how they are named within your Community folder. If you want one mod to be loaded before others, include an “a” or a “0” at the start of the name.
However, Meigs mod should not enter into conflict with any other mod, as long as that mod does not affect Meigs island or the bay besides it
Cheers
Some more shots at sunset. Terminal is now fully implemented. I’m also reworking parking and entrance area to match the realism of the new scenery.
Man, you are quite a wizard
I have puddles either side of Meigs runway with Chicago City design from drzewieckidesign, e.g., the grass is submerged in places. Iooks like a height clash to me.
Update: I changed the folder name to 0_guillermozulueta-meigs that seems to have resolved the issue.
Guys, version 1.5 and professional version (early-access) are out now.
Developing this airport has taken me more than 150 hours of hard work for now (no kidding)… mostly working on weekends, spare time and at nights after work (and it almost ends with my marriage LOL!).
For this reason, and at least to cover the minimal costs of this enormous work and support development, I have decided to create a “Pro-Version” further to the Free version (which will still be available). The main difference between both is that the Pro-Version includes (and will include) all the functional buildings of the airport handmade and with custom interiors created out of actual pictures and other reference material, making the most realistic Meigs Field add-on for Flight Simulator up to date.
I hope you understand this decision, since my intention is to create a very high quality professional product up to today standards for an affordable (almost symbolic) price.
An airport that you can consider your Home Airport within Flight Simulator.
Enjoy!

Thanks for your efforts.
Thanks a lot! Hope you enjoy it!
