[Freeware Airport] ENSB - Svalbard/Longyear

My first take on making one of the missing airports in Norway. ENSB Svalbard/Longyear located as far as 78 degrees north. If you hurry visiting, there’s still a bit of midnight sun left :slight_smile:

Download from Flightsim.to: ENSB - Svalbard/Longyear

Please excuse the generic ground textures for now. Bing images are absolutely rubbish this far north. Airport is still a WIP, but will be updated in the same pace I figure out this SDK :smiley:

New version 2020.09.03:

  • Tower
  • Perimeter fence
  • De-icing area
  • Light on apron
  • Taxiway markings
  • Removed parking
  • Changed taxilight
  • Changed MagVar

Hey FrankTheMoose,

I like the airport you had made, would you mind if i compiled this one into a big complete package with other freeware sceneries? I will credit you offcourse for your hard work.

Kind regards,
Rik.

okey thanks for the reply then it will be included in the v2.0 of the msfsAddon-pack :slightly_smiling_face:

how do I add radio frequencies to my own made airport? I have been looking at the control tower object, but did not find anything

You have to do it manually in the xml file. In the airport section add lines like these:
<Com frequency="118.60" type="APPROACH" name="Some_Name"/>
<Com frequency="127.55" type="ATIS" name="Some_Name"/>
<Com frequency="121.60" type="GROUND" name="Some_Name"/>
<Com frequency="119.40" type="TOWER" name="Some_Name"/>
