Exactly the same problem on some planes, even though I have a more than respectable configuration. It’s not normal for the sim to freeze like this when landing. the developers should do something about it, it’s unacceptable. I don’t want to delete effects when I touch down.
solved my problem! Disappointed that we no longer have the effects on the ground, it’s a shame, even for landing in water.
If the sim loaded the destination airport as well as the departure airport before clicking ‘ready to fly’ maybe that would help - rather than downloading the whole destination airport in one ‘gulp’ whilst flying.
Yes but if you fly from point A to point B it freeze anyway. It’s nonsense, this bug did not exist before ..
That’s why this thread exists
Yes but since almost 1 there is still no problem solving, it’s stupid to play on a simulator if you can’t land without having the same freeze
I solved my problem by uninstalling the game, then reinstalling and deleting the bad mods.
I have read almost every comment here and I was also about to try to fix it but I couldn’t find the folder “Store” where there are the files that are supposed to be deleted if we consider the method that @eduio13 has suggested. I have the steam version so I think it’s a bit different than having the “Official” version. Is there anyone that could help or that has already found it?
I don’t have the Steam version, but a quick MS “Copilot” query resulted in this:
" The location of the OneStore folder in the Steam version of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) can vary depending on your specific installation. However, it’s typically found in the following directory:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Official\Steam123
Please replace YOUR_USERNAME with your actual username. Also, note that the AppData folder is hidden by default, so you’ll need to enable the viewing of hidden files and folders in your File Explorer settings to access it123."
Hope this helps!
I actually found it already but since the folder is empty I thought I was doing something wrong so that’s why I asked about the steam version. But anyway, leaving aside that… what should I do then?
BTW thanks for the help anyway.
In addition to the settings recommended here by @eduio13 (It is important to follow each step in this post)
-
Ensure road traffic does not exceed 10% in MSFS settings;
-
Critically for GSX Pro users I stopped my touchdown stutters with this additional setting.
→ Open FSDT installer
→ Select Config icon for GSX Pro
→ Then for GSX World - Airport Services configuration, disable all active .spb files.
→ Once the field is empty on the left with all disabled .spb on the right, hit Apply in the top right corner.
Hoping to hear back from some of you regarding this fix!
I don’t know about Steam, but with the MS Store version, if you’ve installed your packages in a non-default location, the default folders are still there, though they stay empty. That may be what you saw.
this helped me but still getting the smallest of stutter, thanks ![]()
For me the problems started when i turned rolling cache off. I turned it back on and it worked. I also usually go to the airport im going to fly to and overfly it with showcase (drone) mode. I guess that caches the scenery from before.
Idk, for me I’m having giant lag spikes during approach, it seems to only start after passing waypoints that are below 3-4000 feet, tried reducing graphics, turn off PG. seems to only affect LOWI for me at least
Seems lika not enough VRAM problem to me
Fixed it for most of my aircraft but using payware aircraft (eg Fenix) this still happens, are there files that I should turnoff in that(Fenix) folder?
I dont own the payware Fenix but I use to fly with the FBW A320, FSS Ejets and the cessna Mustang and I dont have issues since I deleted the mentoned effects files.
Yes, I changed the mentioned file to ‘‘off’’, but I can still see ground vehicles at airports and the stuttering during touchdown continues.
