I give up!
It is completely impossible to start a flight in online mod. instantly I hit the flight button i have to leave the sim via the task manager. That is independing of plane or airport.
Because I had this problem since October SU 11 has nothing to do with it.
I am afraid Asobo has no solution for that. The problem hits to less user.
If I would be shure that a new installation of my pc system would help I would do it immediately.
It is actually independent of whether the plane or the airport was changed. I can start 5 flights in a row. Then not one more. After the restart, not a single flight works anymore. I don’t think reinstalling the FS will help. That would be unnecessary work. The problem is in the FS and is therefore up to Asobo to fix it.

A nice information would be an information about what event could « lock » or « freeze » the start of a flight……
Or do someone knows how to make a trace of a process like flightsimulator.exe?
I am not a windows specialist - I worked on large system OS at IBM.
The history of my problem:
It starts on 20.10.22. I had since long time the Map Enhancement tool installed which worked without any problems. On that October-day I downloaded a Hot Air Balloon from flightsim.to. I started the sim without activated map enhancement app. The balloon appeared on the runway of the choosen airport .
However I could not operate the balloon. So I closed the sim and deleted the balloon from the community file.
As next I swtched on the map enhancement tool and I got requested to install an update.
I started the update. Unfortunately was the installation path wrong. (The app was on F installed, the update installed on C). I noticed that to late. This was the starting point of my freezing problems.
The map enhancement app has been uninstalled incl. the remarks in the host file. No success.
I reinstalled the complete sim twice. I tried all hints and recommodations from other supporters.
All this without success.
At the beginning the sim worked for a minute when I started a flight offline and switched during flight to online.
But for now flight operations are only offline possible. Online works the sim well until you hit flight button…
I think about to uninstall and reinstall my complete ME10-operating system.
But I am not convinced that it helps.
I hope Asobo find a solution.
Or they convince me to reinstall my operating system.
I am also ahaving the same issue stuck on he loading of he flight and having to kill the process via end task. I have noticed within the details it is showing as not responding so something has gone wrong somewhere hopefully this will be fixed
EDIT… Tried 15 times tonight and not worked acept for when I disabled online services within data the flight loaded with no issues
Edit it was a flook that time it loaded as it has not loaded again since!

when I have finished a flight in offline mod and I want to quit the sim by hitting the button " quit to desktop" the sim freezes and I must use the task manager.

In this condition MSFS is useless.
Hi my sim has just started doing this(stuck at approx 50% loading of a flight) , I see that there havebeenmo posts for last few days does this mean you are all fixed and if so any ideas how ?
In my cause did the Airplane change help, never had stoped again.
Make 2 Planes with nearly same Livery and change them bevor flight
in my case nothing is happend. The sim is not useable in online mod.
I tried the hint of HAL 9000 SZ. But it didnt work for me.
Interestingly for me , I have had no freezing on any of my flights today, and not aware of any change at my end so believe it must be a server issue

Hello - Does it means that you had the problem and suddenly it disappears ? And you think it was a server problem - May I ask you in which server you are ? I am in the European server and I still use the hint of changing airplane . Today I will try without changing airplane - thank you for your reply ! And …. Nice flights !
I have adressed my problem also to other communities.
Beside of the wellknowned hints I got the info that a corrupt MSFS- cloude file could cause the problem.
Fact is obviously that the sim get no connection to the server.
Is it possible to clear and repopulate the cloud file? Where can I find this file?
Today I tried the hint of changing the aircraft before hit the fly button again.
I tried around 20 combinations with different planes and different airports.
Nothing works with the exception of one combination: I started with a P51 aircraft and CYBD ( Bella Coola) airport. Than I changed the plane to the Piaggio an hit the flight button, a miracle, it works.
I repeated it several times: it works, I could fly online! It was also possible to change the aircraft via the Dev mode during the flight. But only the plane not the airport. changing the airport caused freezing.
Only the a.m. combination of plane and airport works . All other cominations failed and freezed
I urgent expect that Asobo is interested in this matter and has a solution. Otherwise I will get back to P3D.
You may have a mod conflict.
Have you tried the sim with all your addons removed to see if this is the case?

Thank you so much . Yes, I tried it several times with an empty /renamed community file.
It dont solve the problem.
Now I will try the cloud file.
again thank you. I set the cloud file back. That was the solution. Up to now it works.

I am in UK, and had no issues again today, still not changed anything at my side
Ok - It is important to notice that you have not made any change even in the cloud data !! So I’ll will wait on my side and see what is going on today - Since the beginning of this issue I used the “change aircraft” hint as it worked fine. So now I will try to fly without this hint - Thank you ALL !
After a few days of no issue it’s back again, this time I tried DX12 abd reverted to DX11 and it restarted
