Update keeps restarting?

Allowing MSFS2020 to bypass my antivirus program did the trick for me. The antivirus (in my case Avast) would not let MSFS2020 decompress downloaded files from the update, and therefore caused the update to start again. Hope this helps

Same tip is also coming in the solution of that thread. Have you tried it ?

Thank you, I already tried this many times with no success. What DID work was disabling windows defender, user account control and anti-virus software during installation, while NetLimiter kept download at 20Mbit AND using a VPN. I had to have all of these set for it to work, I tried one at a time and various combinations. Very strange.
