Hello
When I try and load FS2020 it just crashes, every time while loading. The background music also goes a bit crackly at the same time.
I have got a video of it in action but I can’t upload attachments.
Here are my specifications:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Processor
- AMD Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics
- 8GB RAM
- 2GB VRAM
Any suggestions are welcome
Thanks
I’ve run into the same problem with my notebook, which is doubly frustrating because it worked the first day it was issued, but now it crashes half-way through. Even when I turn off my firewall and don’t have any other apps running. I recall seeing a brief “syncing prefs” before these crashes started happening. I can’t see a way to stop the syncing of prefs – this is working perfectly on my desktop but I know the prefs that work well on the desktop won’t work at all on my notebook. I don’t know if our two problems are related, but I hope they get resolved!
@Trumpet52 Thanks for your reply!
I’m using a laptop, and it’s quite frustrating that I’ve spent this much money for it to crash. I hope it get’s resolved too. I’m going to do a bit of research online, I’ll post here if I get it working (fingers crossed). Good luck!

I just solved my problem, although I don’t know how I’ll work around it. It seems that the configuration is linked to my account and not just to my computer. A thought popped into my head this morning so I unplugged my joystick from my desktop computer and plugged it into my laptop and viola! FS2020 started up and I was able to fly. However I am hoping to fly on the laptop using just the keyboard and the mouse and not needing to hook the joystick up to it. So I will need to do more investigating to see how I can maintain a desktop configuration and a laptop configuration separate from each other. I sure wish they had produced a manual for this thing!
