I have the pleasure of using in FS2024 the Bombardier Global 6000 Havan originally created for FS2020 based on a FSX model. I think it works great on FS 2024 and was wondering if anyone found other FS2020 planes which also work with FS2024 without any major problem in terms of controls use. I read in the Bombardier Global mostly positive comments except one which stated:"the last time I checked simmers want a plane which acts as the real one "
I for one do not necesserally share that opinion. In fact most of the simmers I know want to enjoy flying quickly after a hard day at work and do not especially care for calculating fuel, number of pax or other technical work
Is there any data among the millions of FS2024 users which shows how many want just to make a quick flight between points A and B, or want to spend half an hour to prep the flight just as in real life?

I think you have asked a very relevant question, but one which will not easily be answered because so many by now have probably "retired’ into other hobbies.
I’m not a real life pilot, and regrettably, not likely to ever be one.
In my opinion, Microsoft made a mistake by over complicating the aircraft controls systems in these sim, both 2020 and 2024. To be honest, I’ve spent enough time during my life fixing engines and instruments, and I want to enjoy well-behaved ones - I don’t care if there is an oil leak or a loss of hydraulic pressure or a door won’t close properly, unless I’m in a real aircraft.
Thinking back, what I expected in 2020 was the easy setup and flying of FSX Acceleration with the much better scenery technology of MSFS 2020 and 2024. By simultaneously adding much more realistic aircraft models and hundreds or thousands of new simvars to be bound to all the powerful new control gadgets we now have, the sim has lost its basic entertainment value and become too serious.
I don’t know about you, but I am typically spending several days setting up a new aircraft before being able to even complete simple circuits of my local airport - forget that bit of low level helicopter sight seeing in Paris that the new scenery invites,
Hopefully future MS management will recognise this loss of entertainment value and offer a version with a limited control set so some of us can get back to generic “wannabee” flying.
There’s PLENTY of planes in MSFS that require none of that. I do highly recommend a set of rudder pedals and a joystick over trying to use a gamepad, but those automatically set up for the most part when you connect them. If you need to do any controls editing, it’s essentially one and done, typically to remove duplicate assignments. I can’t imagine anyone thinking axis and ohs or whatever are necessary for anything.
All that stuff is for people who enjoy that stuff. The only additional things I use are a CH products dual engine throttle quadrant, I assign a couple of buttons for gear, flaps, ATC window and sim EFB; I use my iPad for checklists and manuals before and while I fly; and my phone for access to the Avare and an app I found called FlightIntel (Android) which I use for my real flying, too. I could just as easily have a page for Airnav.com access on my iPad rather than use flightintel. But FlightIntel is a really awesome app.
Point is, there’s tons of planes in the sim you can hop in and take off.
Maybe MScenery aircraft are for those looking for a quick spin without having to do any prep? There’s nothing disparaging meant in that remark.
I happen to have my pilot’s license, so I like the complex planes that take some study, but any of the Cessnas or Pipers you can just hop in and fly, and many others. They left the original A320 in the sim because it’s simple, too. I could list many other examples of simple aircraft in the sim, no study or extra setup required.
What types and classes of aircraft are you all looking to fly?

I was simply asking if there were any FS 2024 planes which were originally coming from FS2020 and after some research I found on this very site a complete listing of 2020 planes which fly on 2024. I love FS2024 and I have been an avid FS fan for 30 years but I am reaching an age where I do not want to waste my remaining time starting engines by the book doing preflight or removing the shocks! For a really senior guy, it is a pain in FS2024 to just enter a flight plan.. I guess I am too old and impatient… Just want to get in a plane and start enjoying the scenery at 3000 ft. There is a keybind called “Quick Preflight”, Alt-Q, that clears all the things so you can avoid the walkaround portion.
Tons of great planes for that. So get in the sim at a parking spot, Shift-C to enter the plane, Alt-Q to clear the preflight, and Ctrl-E to start the engines and you’re off and ready to taxi. Or, just start on a runway end and the engines will be started, preflight will be done, and you can just take off…
