FS2024 Brakes applied but doesn't work?

I’ve mapped the brakes to my joystick and I can see the pedals applying the brakes, but its not enough to stop the aircraft. Its like 10% or less of brakes power…

Is it a known bug in teh new FS2024?

I experience the same thing. I even increased the sensitivity but no positive results at this point.

Interesting. I had toe brakes working yesterday, before the hot fix went in. Wondering if a defect was introduced with the hot fix?

Also found today that previously binded rudder pedals in Cessna 172 no longer work. Toe brakes did nothing.
Also when flying the Boeing Dreamliner on AP, on course in stable flight, I noted that the rudder pedals were moving wildly back and forth and I was not touching them, looking outside the aircraft the rudder was not moving. Something has gone wrong with the rudder controls.

I’m sure you have already done the obvious, unbounded, and rebounded those inputs?

Yes! The bind is correct, the brakes are applied but inefficient

I have the same problem intermittently with the C172 on career missions. Sometimes the brakes work well and sometimes they don’t seem to work at all.

I failed the last mission because I couldn’t stop and ran off the end of the runway.

I’ve experienced this as well. Just rolling off the end of the runway now. The brakes animate, I’ve bound and rebound them to different axes, and they don’t work. It’s like driving a car from the 50’s or something.

I ran off the runway last night because of this. Kind of annoying since it caused me to crash, lost my A rating and my accounts empty trying to get my plane flyable again.

Unfortunately it’s back to contract work for me fo another 40k in repairs to get my plane back.

Just had the same issue right now. This game is becoming more a annoyance then fun.

Same problem, my brakes mapped to joystick trigger have stopped working, can use space bar but thats a bit sticky too. No improvement after this morning update, hopefully they will fix soon.

I don’t know if this will be of help to anyone, but my brakes started working again. I made two changes today, so I’m not sure which one did it.

  1. I plugged my rudder pedals into my throttle instead of my yoke.
  2. I noticed my plane wasn’t moving on the ground, so I inverted the left and right brake axes and they worked normally.

This is probably specific to my hardware, but I have my brakes for the first time since this sim launched, two weeks ago.

Glad to hear, but all that does appear to me to be hardware specific. There are or have been some other brakes issues in 24 unrelated to hardware binding and hard to pin down.

Yeah that really sucks. Hope a resolution comes out in next week’s patch.

It may already be patched, IDK if what we got yesterday fixed it or not. I have not lost toe brakes in a few days, but have not been testing it exhaustively either. Keep the faith.

YIKES! I just jinxed it with this post! Landed in the V35B with no toe brake action. LOL

Maybe this is the gamification people were worried about. You never know what’s going to happen until you touch down.

Gotten real handy with the parking brake, kinda like driving a rally car!

Have the same with my thrustmaster tca stick… sometimes it works, sometimes it won’t. Also with the throttle when starting a flight. Sometimes i have to to a quick toga to get it working and quickly set it back to idle to make it work ok again

Same issue MSFS 24 really needs to step up and address issues.

Same, I spent 2 hours trying to get them to work after hot fix. Unbound every single action on all my peripherals. Nothing works except rudder control. This is for all planes. It first showed up when I couldn’t taxi the Fenix A320. Bizarre.
