What do you think is not ready in this software. It works if used properly. A lot of “BUGS” or no bugs. People just dont realize, that they are in very high percent of the cases loading their Airliner in a Small Ramp/Gate. And then cliping and Jetway Errors occur. Until now it was not necessary to pay attention on the world map, what ramp/gate you use - but for GSX Pro it is essential. So you either load on a Large Ramp/Gate or you switch it in GSX to a Large Ramp with less then 5 clicks in less then 10 seconds. Unfortunately a lot of Ramps/Gates are just defined as Small by Asobo, but that is not the fault of GSX Pro. It just relies on the BGL´s that are there. Kind Regards
I used GSX back in FSX, it’s a great program, no worries there.
Back in FSX, I can’t remember all those posts about passengers walking through/on top of gates etc. They do now. The pushback used to be great, it’s a mess now - putting aircraft just anywhere and then not disconnecting without aborting, and then bumping the plane all up and down.
That’s just improper software coding for an addon that claims to work on every airport without too much thought from the user. I’m sure they will fix this stuff, but they haven’t yet and untill then I wouldn’t recommend using it. For me it’s parked in the drawer untill some serious updates make using it an actual fun experience like how I used to know it.
I was having loads of problems with GSX… until last night. Last night I was able to do two complete gate-to-gate flights without a single hitch. So I think there’s definitely something to the “it was a coincidence” argument.
And it really was great when everything was finally all working!
Second apology within two days! CTD of MSFS has to do with MSFS «Online Functionality» not FSDT GSX!
After I turned off Msfs Online Functionality and reinstalled the FSDT GSX and used it in a flight with FENIX A320 from Hanover (EDDW) to Glasgow (EGPF), I had no CTD.
I have to apologize from Umberto and FSDT team because I thought the problem was GSX related.
And exactly all what you mentioned, would not happen, if you load on a proper large gate.
Spoke too soon, 3 hour flight, just about to capture the ILS and bang CTD. Great.
Have not had a single CTD this year, genuine, none.
EDIT: Helps if you read ^^^, I will try it again with GSX installed (I do like the product!) but with the online services disabled.
There’s a huge thread in the main forum about CTDs, and hardly any of those people are using GSX. The same thing has been going on in the SU10 beta threads - people blaming the Friday night beta build for all the CTDs this weekend, when it’s clearly not anything to do with SU10 at all. Just like it’s almost certainly nothing to do with GSX at this point.
I’ve been playing around with GSX all day today, loading into multiple different airports, both third party and default. I’ve set up a bunch of customized parking positions in my favorite third-party scenery using the 3D editor, messing around with the different service liveries, etc. In 7+ hours running the sim, not a single hiccup, let alone a CTD.
I’ll try it again with online services off, just wish this sim would stabilise! its amazing when it works.
Having a ton of fun with this.
Modifying parking gate positions, equipment positions, and setting up VDGS systems at KLGB for fun. I can now see myself adding a few VDGS systems to all of the airports I fly to.
Note: If you have modified a parking position, when starting at the modified gate, bring up the GSX menu and select 0-[Reposition Aircraft] 1-[Reposition aircraft at the current gate]
You can display on a Stream Deck the current number of passengers that have Boarded/Deboarded and the current Cargo Loading/Unloading percent. I know it flashes this info on the screen but now I can just look at the stream deck.
Are you using the GSX pushback with the PMDG 737-700? How do you get by the “release parking brake” repeated request when the parking brake is released?
is there any way to make people line up instead 4 at a time?
i reduced timing but nothing changed
Change the density slider.
Check the chocks are removed in the 737’s FMC options as well, as it says that if the parking brakes or the chocks are set.
Thank you for the response! I will try that on my next flight.
But a lot of people are experiencing the CTD with GSX on approach at their destination. So yes, you can spend 7 hrs on aprons, but that is not the issue. And yes, there might be a coincidence, but GSX is still very buggy (with menus not showing e.g.) and does cause CTD for sure. I havent had a single CTD when I disabled GSX again.
I changed the regional format to english and the problem was solved.
Its a never ending loop of updates?
Unable to post on the FSDreamteam Forum; been waiting 3 days for activitation for my forum registration there.
In the meantime, does anyone know where to find details of any GSX Pro software updates or changelogs? I’m guessing there haven’t been any yet since release last week, but would be good to know where to keep an eye on.
I did it twice Kev.
I don’t know why but ive had no problems with the program apart from the parking sizes and getting shared profiles to work properly.
Its also weird that I haven’t had a CTD yet in general on PC or Xbox whilst flying that s being reported everywhere, but then again I don’t keep completely up to date with nvidia
Has there been any updates to the mod ever since it was released?
