Does anyone have pushback issue with latest Fenix A320? After the tug car connected to aircraft, chose the pushback direction and it does… nothing!
I think the mod works well enough now. The only gamebreaking issue for me is that using it with AIG traffic controller specifically will render some objects and often even entire airports invisible
Haven’t had the opportunity to play around with much but wow what a difference. Will study it more in the later morning.
strange , i dont have tat problem
You only get it when an unknown number of simobjects is exceeded, as there seems to be a hard limit for those. I use AIG at 70% only and did so far not see it neither, reports are often from users using 100% traffic and flying in and out of huge hubs.
The only thing would be to reduce the number of cones and other little details in gsx, at least by custom settings, so it could take less objects count.
Sorry - but push back works fine for me!
Richard
Pushback is one of the best features of GSX and 90% time it works very well for me. I just wish the walker’s movements are faster and he/she would stoop when underneath smaller aircraft like the 146 or CRJ. And also I don’t know if that’s realistic but he always shows the pin on the side from where he must cross my way after the procedure is finished. I would expect that on a side closer to the departing gate.
Does anyone have it where when pushing back, especially when on networks like VATSIM, your V/S goes crazy and to others you are floating mid air with your nose pointing to the sky. It happens to almost everyone I know that has GSX and is a massive issue, besides the times it likes to just catapult me across the apron once it launches my plane into the ground from dropping the nose wheel at the end of the pushback.
Do AI traffic and ground aircraft count as simobjects? I don’t seem to have this issue if i only use live ai and max ground aircaft but using AIG models. It’s only by using AIG traffic controller does the issue happen.
Yes, as far as I know, almost every 3D object is also a simobject, at least those that “move” around So, adding ships, AI traffic, tons of 3D objects on addon airports, jetways etc. will certainly carry the risk of hitting this limit sooner, that is why it might be worth to lower the % of AI traffic if you encounter this bug. If I understood Umberto correctly, he might also add an option into GSX that the ground clutter objects can be disabled in the settings in some of the coming updates. We will see. Easiest way would be if the bug or issue is acknowledged by Asobo and that they can give a number (or even alleviate it).
I hope so. TC is much much better than just live AI
The growing pains have all been worked out for me, now that I know some of the quirks of the software. It really does work beautifully with the Fenix, and also works well enough with the Bae 146 (although if you request boarding while the front door is open on the 146, the coatl engine will never recognize the door being opened) – most of the time. The GSX profile for the 146 needs work (I’m using one from FS.to which is functional but not perfect) – airports always try to load it with modular containers for some reason. The PMDG 737s work fine, but you need to know how GSX interacts with the built-in PMDG assets and adjust accordingly. I haven’t tried it with the CRJs yet.
A rough start indeed, but for me GSX is doing exactly what it claims to do now, so I’m happy.
Same here pretty much. I’ve found though that GSX plays very well with the base 100 variant of the Bae146, but less so on the 200. Just Flight have said they are working on individual profiles for the other variants and will make them available, which is the usual awesomeness we’ve come to expect from them!
Good evening All,
I’am having trouble with the handcrafted LFPG Jetways. Since the beginning I have corrugated jetways at LFPG.
I have the latest Version available on content manager.
I’am Using GSX and it makes absolute no differences between Default jetway and Gsx ones, so I am not having glass jetway at LFPG at all.
If you see the attached screenshots, You’ll notice that there is absolute no difference in the jetway style.
One is with LFPG enabled in Gsx universal installer, the other is with LFPG excluded. I don’t understand at all what’s going one.
I tried the following :
- Deleting content.xml, no change at all and MSFS don’t even create a new one at startup !!! (Any idea why ? of even if this normal ?)
- Renamed Community for MSFS to regenerate a new one, No success but MSFS create a new community properly.
- Uninstalling/reinstalling LFPG from content manager with restart of MSFS in between each time.
- Fully Uninstalling and reinstalling GSX.
All this did absolutely nothing. Any tips or idea would be awesome. Thanks,
Regards,
It does get better imo. Although a lot of strange things still with still screens and weird pushback trucks at small airports
My problem with gsx is that the jetways disconnect and i cant find a workflow for the cockpit preparation that is realistic. The main problem is the fuel truck. And when i arrive its worse. The jetway auto connects and opens the door for me. Like how the hell told them to auto operate jetways like its annoying. The jetways connect, doors are opened while my engine are still running. It makes no sense + i see 2 marshalls telling me what to do
Toolbar pushback will still work with GSX running. You can manually control doors and jetways if they don’t behave
I noticed the baggage working with that new AI live traffic add on, at Arlanda earlier. Nice that it wasn’t only my aircraft getting served
That automatic handling of jetways and doors is bugging me as well (I connect the jetway to the aircraft and open the door as soon as I load my flight, because I didn’t climb into the cockip through the cockpit side window). I wish there was an option to turn this off. Also I don’t like the not optional boarding of the pilots because as soon as start the flight, captain is already sitting in the cockpit
