FSDreamTeam GSX for MSFS

Me too I have same problem

Some fs.to liveries are resulting in pink pax. Make sure you update GSX again to get latest fixes for liveries. You also need to rerun GSX installer after installing or updating liveries as it has to mod the files to insert the pax into the model. Unfortunately this means no pax for encrypted planes ever, ie. those bought on marketplace (ATR ).

You have the solution! I updated GSX and now I can see the character seated (dont need to reinstall it) . Sad for the other encrypted aircraft. Hope will have solution for them because this is another very funny upgrade of GSX .

Seems like there are ongoing changes/fixes being rolled out. Make sure you update. Hoping the 737 sees passengers soon.

Version 3.0.2 – June 8th, 2024

  • GSX Pro Fix: Support in the installer for Fenix liveries with custom cabin models.
  • GSX (all versions) Fix: Memory leak in airport profiles with Walkers.

Version 3.0.1 – June 7th, 2024

  • GSX Pro Fix: Improved error handling in the installer when dealing with non-ufficial Fenix liveries.
  • GSX (all versions) Fix: Passengers not visible on Boarding on Jetways.
  • GSX (all versions) Fix: Airport Walkers not visible on some profiles.

GSX uses cockpit door to disable/enable passengers. When doors are open they are visible, when closed they disappear to reduce impact on FPS. 737 does not have openable cockpit doors.

Does not matter that much as they are still visible if you use external cam inside cabin or outside the plane, even with door closed.

Or you can have them earlier by finally getting the brilliant Fenix A320

Maybe the passengers will help relieve my boredom of flying another airbus A320

Not good news if that is the case as there are a fair few airliners that don’t yet have a door that opens. Maybe a GSX menu option to show/hide passengers would have been better.

ps. I can’t wait to see the performance of a fully loaded (with passengers) A380 or 777.
I think the 777 is going to come with a working cabin door too? Not sure if the 737 will be retrofitted with that or not.

It does matter because if GSX will make passengers visible when using internal cameras, they will have to be turned on for the entire flight, impacting fps during approach and landing. In Fenix you just close the door and they disappear.

GSX devs will have to figure out something else to toggle passengers on and off.

You can use external camera to go inside the cabin but it’s not a good solution in flight. External cameras are not fixed to the plane geometry and move around when plane is changing its attitude.

Its not a big issue, you just need showcase camera with fixed position and it will not move during flight - already doing it with fenix with door closed and it work good- no problem to do the same with other airplanes as well. The only issue is that the people sometime spawn but its no dealbreaker.

edit: I said external but mean the showcase camera for fixed. But you also will see people with external from outside the plane.

Some nice pink uniforms appearing now

My GSX audio has disappeared now too after updating to v3.x. Perhaps a clean GSX install is required now.

GSX 3.0.2 pink pax and crew , What i´m doing wrong?

Try a reinstall of GSX -

But now I have passengers running after the bus… First, an empty bus arrives, then passengers run after it across the airfield, get on the bus, and then board the airplane.

If I close the cockpit door - will the pax than disappear for the rest of the flight? I tried to open the door in-flight and the cabin was empty… Did they all parachute out then? ^^

Also - I checked again - it seems that the passengers are disappearing once they sit down. They walk down the aisle - and when sitting down the go poof?

Somebody asked if PMDG will make seated passengers in their 737s possible. Their communication manager replied that this will be discussed internally at some later time and that everybody should refrain from discussing likes or disliked to another developer in their forums :slightly_smiling_face:

But FSDT already said that it will happen eventually. They are focusing other planes for now.

Is there a list of aircraft to be targeted anywhere? Would be good to know. Is it an aircraft dev thing or a 3rd party gsx profile creator thing, or a gsx thing only?
I’m confused as to who actually creates a gsx ‘seatmap’ for passengers.
I’m also quite surprised that it currently just has the Fenix with passengers.

For fixing pink textures, adsm88 wrote this on FSdreamteam forums:

you need to make sure that the livery in the community folder follows the fenix standards. Named as follows: fnx-aircraft-320-xxxx. If you have a livery folder named like FNX_320_IAE_VLGMVN as I had gsx does not recognise it as a livery. I changed the folders name to fnx-aircraft-320-VLGMVN and voila.
If you do not see the created by gsx file inside the model folder it just means that gsx has created nothing. But it will work anyways.
If you do not have a model folder GSX will write an entry in the aircraft.cfg and create that model folder.
So 1 : make sure to have the airline icao entry in the aircraft.cfg
and 2. that the folder name in the community folder follows the fenix standards

I just think that this is something that the developers should explain clearly. It took me 2 hours to figure out the GSX logic on this

This and the livery naming is very interesting finding. I take it this could also be the issue I’m seeing with pink (missing textures) for the crew now.
Seems like it’s getting more complex. Not sure I want to rename all of my livery files. They are hard enough to keep a track of as is. Many livery files are controlled by the installers too (737, maddog etc) so changing the name of those (assuming I find them) could break their link to the aircraft installer.
