Thanks for the detailed replies — really appreciate it.
That clears up a lot! I didn’t realize FSHud could take control of FS Traffic and even FSLTL traffic directly, without needing any specific integration. That’s actually a big plus for me, since I already have FS Traffic set up and was worried I’d need to uninstall it or switch to something else.
The COM1/COM2 support also sounds great, especially for those of us using hardware panels.
I’m still getting used to MSFS in general after years of FSX, but FSHud sounds like a proper upgrade from P2ATC, especially for managing actual traffic instead of just communication.
I’ll probably give it a try this weekend and see how it handles a few regional IFR flights in Europe.
Thanks again for the honest feedback — much more helpful than just watching videos.
I saw FS Hud V2 has its own traffic injection, but you say I can use FS Traffic injection instead and FS Hud will take care of guiding the traffic around?
Because right now, the default ATC and traffic behavior is a complete mess.
FS Hud is also more expensive than BATC, but maybe it’s worth it for better voices than the basic BATC voices.
I bought FSHud, but it’s not really working very well with FS Traffic at this time. Despite contacting support and everything, it looks like it just doesn’t work as expected on my machine.
FS Traffic alone, I get 68 planes at an airport.
FS Traffic + FS Hud, I get 18 planes.
I spent two days trying to figuring it out. Uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.
According to FSHud support, FSHud works better in combination with FSLTL, but I don’t use FSLTL because of performance issues. And FSHud doesn’t recognize planes injected by FS Traffic for whatever reason.
So far, I’m a bit disappointed.
Is there any ATC Solution out there that works with default traffic or FS Traffic?
EDIT:
I was a bit angry when I wrote that. I just wanted to add that FSHud is working on some workaround fixes for FS Traffic and hopefully FS Traffic will be updated too to work with FSHud API.
