FSLTL - FS Live Traffic Liveries is live!

I’m quite pleased with the ease of use installing and running FSLTL. Hopefully the arrivals issue will get resolved over time.

My question is where can I find airbus380 and airbus350 aircraft. They seem to be the only aircraft missing from the places I normally fly. I really don’t want to reinstall AIG if there is a easier way.

Also if I do find these specific aircraft do I put them in a folder in the community folder?

Thanks

Im pretty sure these are the static aircraft that come with the DD scenery.

One of the first things I do now when adding a scenery is check for a static aircraft.bgl.

FSLTL has the A359 though.

The easier way is to wait. They are coming soon I think. The A380s are being worked on. I’m sure a base model update is not that far off. In the meantime AIG models fill in missing models for me in FSLTL (after removing the older non compatible FAIB ones from the AIG directory. Note: you also have to regenerate the layout.json file).
The devs have hinted at it not being long before a base model update but maybe they are hoping to coincide it with an ai traffic fix in FS too.

Are statics easy to remove without dev support?

Yup. All you need to do is either delete the file or just change the .bgl extension to .bak or something. Would recommend just changing the extension.

Thanks, will give that a go. There are some airports that I’ve come across with too many statics.

Does anyone use the Edinburgh EGPH scenery from Pyreegue Dev Co in combination with FSLTL?
All my other airports are being spawned fine by the injector.
But at EGPH there are never any additional parked aircraft loaded, although I have my settings for this at 5.
Also only really seldom I have a flight preparing for departure although FR24 is showing more activity at the airport.

Strangely enough I tried it with AIG offline traffic as well via the AIG Traffic Controller and on the map I could see that just Glasgow got populated and again nothing at Edinburgh.
Is there a generell problem with AI traffic at this particular scenery?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

What is your radius set at? I have mine set to 60km max. Now admittedly that could almost include EGPF too, but I find having a smaller radius means more IFR traffic at the airport you are located at as opposed to one say 160km away instead.

Also it is meant to be live(ish) and it is a Sunday.

Thanks for your reply.
Actually my radius is pretty large at 150.

I‘ll try to tweak the numbers a little bit.

But the maximum for IFR traffic shouldn‘t have an impact on the number of additional parked aircraft at the gates, should it?

No, but it depends on how many gates are open. I have EGPH and max aircraft I have seen there is about 8 or 10. I usually have my static set to “2”.
If you are not seeing aircraft pushback & depart,

  1. Move the radius down to 60km
  2. Wait a while ( like 10+ minutes)
  3. Visit the airport at a busier time as it is live.

My settings are radius 60km, ifr 85, vfr 5, static 2.

I did a quick drone flight around Dubai airport and saw generic A380s and what I thought were A350s but I could be mistaken. It’s not a deal breaker for me. I can wait for FSLTL base models.

I used EGPH the other day and additional traffic set at 3 and it was packed.

I set the radius to the minimum permissible (50km) but still I get info from traffic at nearby airports for which I’m not really sure I should.

Anyways, changing subject, and this is really a pity is that IFR traffic tend to use the same gates for departing traffic. This is something I discussed with a FSLTL dev in discord…he said if there is a “not assigned” IFR traffic sitting at the airport and a flight matching the livery and model pops up in FR24, the program will assign that very same flight to that dormant plane. Well, this is just not true entirely, some times it does, but 9 out of 10 times the traffic will be created and pop up at the same gate that minutes ago was assigned to another traffic just gone, even though there are plenty of exact same model and livery planes available as “not assigned” at the airport. Take as an example Stansted airport. Plenty of 738 available right? Well, my next-to stand was producing the very same 738 RYR standard livery one after the other for good half an hour…

I have had a look thru and i cant find any comments about the engines running high during taxi - is there a thread somewhere for it - has anyone found a work around (apart from turning other aircraft down)?

The sound in airports is bad, excessive, confusing and disoriented. Maybe something to fix?

only thing that could help is just to decrease other aircraft sounds in the settings. no workaround or fix yet

Yes, we need more people to upvote the thread so Asobo developers will look into it.

I use this scenery too, and a while ago, I made this video in an earlier post in this thread at Edinburgh - this was a little while ago and I’ve not tried it since, but it was defnitely working then.
