Do they also spawn on the user aircraft altitude no matter what? Or did they overcome this issue? This is currently the most immersion breaking part of AI traffic to me…
Wow the timing on this for me is unbelieveable ive literally spent hours today installing flight plans on AIG… but still i am gonna try this out as it sounds promising.
I am also user of the Simple Traffic, not because of the quality but the simplicity. Is this like ST a install and forget kind of product?
Ok, I installed and got it running. It’s so simple to install a caveman could do it. Now for the downer. Aircraft are still sitting on the runway but never depart, just like the sim has been doing for a long time now. Maybe it’s me, but I can’t imagine what the deal is with that.
Edit update: Something must have kicked in because I’m seeing departures finally. Good job. This is great for freeware. I’m impressed! I don’t know what the lag time is from flightracker24, but I’m watching and can’t really match up with anything I’m seeing in the sim and from flightracker24. Has to be way more than the advertised 30 seconds lag. Anyway, it works and I like it.
The only difference I have found is that you have to start the injector when starting the SIM. Otherwise, if you are using the REAL WORLD traffic in the sim, then, yea, set and forget. Recommendation - turn off the Real world traffic and use the injector.! ** There are different settings for VATSIM users.**
The cool thing about FSLTL AI model is, it is using the gltf model file format, instead of the old mdl… And the performance is really good.. easy on FPS…
So far, I’m impressed! I’ve done some planespotting at some big (read: known FPS killer) airports, and so far, everything seems stable and smooth. Love having proper liveries at my airports again! Can’t wait till I have time to do some proper flights with FSLTL. Nice work!
Had to start using an additional community folder with Addon Linker just for this…hence the 24 GB
. So now the A32NX and FSLTL will go in that folder. I wish the FBW team would allow different install locations for separate mods within their installer @holland786. For example, i cannot keep the A32NX in my main community folder anymore hence i changed the location now for the new folder that will include FSLTL. So now the A32NX is forced to go in there too hence the custom install location in the installer is global.
Anyway, glad this is finally out and will test it in couple of hours.
How do I disable AIG instead of removing it completely?
I don’t have AIG anymore but i think for starters you need to move the AIG folders out of your community folder or disable them with addon linker (i believe there are two folders, one for liveries and one CVT folder). And secondly, just simply don’t launch AIGTC.
WIll try that, I was using it with live traffic for most part. Do I need to rvert the file renamed by AIG for using FSTL?
I don’t think you need to do anything else besides removing every trace of AIG from your community folder. Also you need to turn OFF all type of traffic in MSFS for FSLTL.
Turn airport vehicles to at least 1% otherwise they never pushback and leave. It’s a new bug introduced in su10
Took me hours of tutorials to set up AIG correctly, then it took a solid day to download as many aircraft models as I could get. The AIG traffic controller loved to CTD.
FSLTL took me 15 minutes to install and have running with aircraft aplenty. Bye bye AIG!
Well, AIG models and AI Manager are still very useful with FSLTL so we should always have gratitude to what AIG has done all these years for free.
What I love about FSLTL is I can see airplanes up in the air at very high elevations and not my elevation. Kudos to the team for getting this done!

Fair point. AIG was the best there was for a long time.
And still if you installed FSLTL and have the AIG models installed, it will use them too as model matching. So we still owe AIG.
Every FAIB 737 has every optional antenna active. In looking at the Alaska 739 texture file, the alpha channel is set to only have one of the sat domes enabled, but it appears the sim is ignoring this for these models.
AIG still has advantage in accuracy and variety. However, in the trade-off for convenience, there is no comparison!
Of course, I am grateful to AIG. ![]()
