Ha, thanks. I meant how to get it worked from the dawn of AI Traffic, when AIG first published last year
ah see lol! It is a bit fiddly
Looks promising, will give it a try tomorrow
Do you mean compared to no traffic or compared to default traffic?
I tried FSLTL at Heathrow and the frame rate went from a steady 60 fps (the max refresh rate on my monitor) to 35 fps. So I wouldn’t call that “not affecting the framerate”. That’s a slash of almost 50 %. Of course Heathrow is an extreme case with a TON of gates.
However, moving away from the airport the framerate climbed back to about 58 fps, so in that regard it certainly seems to be a lot better. I will keep flying with traffic for now (for the first time since FS2020 was released) and see how it goes.
Looking good, though. 35 fps in the PMDG 737 with full traffic at Heathrow is still perfectly fine.
It depends system to system.
On my system, I just tested LHR and I barely lost 1-2 fps (I was not counting)
With the airport filled with traffic, it was still way smoother than if AIG traffic filled all the gates.
So yes, for me there next to no impact on FPS.

I’m on an i7 8700 and an RTX 3060 Ti.
And no doubt, the fault MSFS traffic system is still the same, even with different models and injection models:
But still, loving it so far. It’s great to see traffic again, and hear all that beautiful airport engine noise.
looks awesome!
little fps drop approx. 10 fps on ground (EDDF) and approx. 5 fps when airborn. (RTX3070ti)
ok. yea it looks like its working finde in your video. no idea why it’s not working on my side…
Works with pro atc sr and fshud?
For me the frame rate impact occurs when using the static ground models. Setting that to ‘0’ increased performance significantly. Strange
This looks very promising while being a lighter load than AIG and more stable injector.
Now I have to ask - is it just airliners or does it also include GA planes? I suspect only airliners, but have to ask.
sttovo posted this link upthread: Liveries – FSLTL – FS Live Traffic Liveries
So, just airliners, incl. a few cargo planes, apparently.
A small AIG/ FSLTL comparison
+FSLTL
Enroute traffic with right altitude/speed/ contrails
Real Time Traffic
Worldwide traffic injection
Quality aircraft models with awesome sound
Easy Setup
Small Disk Space
Small FPS Drops
+AIG
More livery types
More aircraft types
Flight Plan Traffic
Thanks. I missed that. This thread has grown rather rapidly (with good reason), so I missed it while browsing through.
I guess I’m not surprised. GA seems to always be left out of these traffic add-ons. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful that folks are making these awesome traffic add ons that replace the god-awful default stuff. And since airliners are the dominant planes in the air, it makes sense to focus on them. But I wish some attention was put on GA as many of us don’t fly airliners out of major centres. Small airports (even busy ones) are pretty much deserted at the best of times.
I’ll give this a try and try it in tandem with MS Live Traffic so I can get some GA traffic as well and see what happens.
difficult to judge from this pic. do you see nav lights from a distance from 200m or more on the ground? I don’t. Just taxi lights…I use the latest version. Guess its 3.4.6 and did a fresh reinstall…
Tried this briefly before work and looked really good!
The fact that you can now see contrails of passing traffic sitting on the ground rather than having to be at a similar altitude is worth it alone! Brilliant work
In PSXT with Real Traffic Professional you can shift the time backwards, no problem.
Very handy if after work in the evening you would like to fly in the day time with real live traffic. Or you want to jump to a day/time where something specific happened (an emergency, a storm or whatever).
Finally i can stop running AIG and wait 10 minutes or more for it to load wrong and have to reload again, it also had a major bug with return leg where planes would pile up on runway, i tested it and i can now do multileg and return home airport. And it loads so fast, wondering why aig so buggy i started to hate that aig app
