I made these RPN scripts for AAO for the auto-prop control switch when this came out. They don’t move the switch animation, but they work otherwise:
This is for decrease:
(L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch,·Number)·10·-·4500·max·(>L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch,·Number)·(L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch_CHANGE,·Number)·-·(>L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch_CHANGE,·Number)
This is for increase:
(L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch, Number) 10 + 5500 min (>L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch, Number) (L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch_CHANGE, Number) + (>L:FSR_S4_PropBetaSwitch_CHANGE, Number)

Awesome, thanks! I’ll see if I can adapt those to spad.next. ![ ](https://forums.flightsimulator.com/images/emoji/twitter/slight_smile.png?v=12)

Guys the scheduled update for Sting S4 is now available via Market Place, so it took 48 hours from submission to release. Pretty good…

Seems a nice little plane. Does have a Mooney like tendency to never slow down, the POH recommendation to start applying flaps on downwind is good advice and you really need to come over the threshold at the recommended speed or it floats forever. Sweet airplane but not exactly easy to slow down.
Hoping to take a real one up for a spin this weekend and compare notes with this MSFS version, weather and availability permitting of course.

That’d be cool do give us feedback on your findings!
Thanks for the speedy update. I know it’s not true to life but I do prefer the clearer glass.
I love this aircraft!

The update notes refer to a parking brake. Forgive my ignorance but I didn’t think the plane had one and have been holding the plane on it’s toe brakes in all my flights. Am I missing something?
It doesn’t have a parking brake.
Im guessing ’ Fix: Parking Brakes axis assignments were causing an issue with the chokes logic, this has now been corrected.’ refers to a conflict with controller settings.

Ok, that was pretty easy to use in spad.next. I now have the auto-prop on/off switch mapped to my unused parking brake switch, and the prop lever will control either the pitch or the target RPM depending on mode. Nice! Works almost like a real constant-speed prop now. ![ ](https://forums.flightsimulator.com/images/emoji/twitter/wink.png?v=12)

Is it possible to configure the original and GTN comm radios to be separate somehow?
You would need to ask this to TDS or PMS50 (not sure what GTN you using since I support both), I integrated these units are per their requirements, otherwise they would not certify my product as compatible with their glass cockpits.
Best,
Raul
The PMS one. RTFM solved it. (I had to press squelch to actuate the switch)
Hm, is it just me or does the yellow range on the speed tape in the PFD not match the backup instrument?
PFD shows yellow starting around 118 kias, but analog instrument shows it around 98 kias. I have the WT G3X enhancements installed.
Hi there correct, this is exactly as per IRL. The winter gauge model 6 FMS 4 160 knots is sold like that and installed without modification.
You can find all the models here: https://www.winter-instruments.de/fahrtmesser---airspeed-indicator

Garmin of course is adjusted to POH since it is programable, the physical gauge is installed as it comes from winter factory, I imagine this is to save costs.
The TL ultralight Sting S4 cost about €90,000 IRL. New.

The standby gauge does conveniently sit at roughly Va.
Or at least the Va in the latest manual on the manufacturers website. I have found three different manuals for the LSA version of this and they give Va as either 118 KIAS, 91 KIAS or 97 KIAS.
Anybody tried this in VR? I’m thinking of getting it and I only fly in VR.
It’s excellent in VR… the view out of the bubble canopy is great.
