Fuel Planner

Hey there,

I would like to know if there is a way to plan how much fuel the aircraft will use for the planned flight. Otherwise a fuel calculator would be great to be included. It should at least consider, aircraft weight, weather, planned route.

Thank you

A full flight planner would be nice along these lines, including a weather report and access to sigmets, metars, TAFs, etc.

Totally agree!

Edit: I didn’t realize this was an old thread that was auto-bumped to the top of the forum, but I’ll leave it since there wasn’t any other good options listed yet.

I use Navigraph’s planner. Yes it’s a third party planner, but it’s free and I can also import that route direct into the CJ4 (not sure about other stock aircraft as this is the only jet I regularly fly). It takes into account the specific aircraft, pax and cargo weights, live weather conditions, and reserves for alternate airport planning to generate a block fuel amount. It’s generally pretty accurate, but there is also a setting to offset the calculated amount in case your aircraft does consistently better or worse. If you find yourself constantly landing on fumes, you can add that adjustment into the flight planner so it will know to allot more fuel. This comes in handy if you like to fly at different speeds and altitude than recommended.
