I’m noticing these days that when I open the simulator I get to the initial menu which is in window mode and not full screen, I change the setting and save but when I reopen the simulator the next time it’s back to the way it was before. How come?

Are you in the beta? This is a known bug in the beta. Some folks claiming it’s fixed in the latest update from a day or two ago, other folks claiming they’re seeing it but not on the beta:

its since last msfs20 update regardless of whether you are in the beta or not , because i thought i had messed something up and i was not in the beta but had the last update last week for public msfs20 , so it was the actual update itself

I am not in Beta, by MSFS start it always asks to install 1.63GB and then automatically jump to next step with windowed Dune introduction photo.
