FYI, oculus software causing the sim to crash

Ya, bit of a shame that this is happening for those addicted to OpenXR Toolkit.

Fortunately, for me anyway, since upgrading my PC to i913900k/rtx4090/32Gb 6400ram/z790mb I haven’t seen the need to use this. I still get better results using an official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 type-c port at 650mbps encoding bitrate (h.264). Also using the Oculus Tray Tool (OTT) to finetune super sampling and asw options.

Using Virtual Desktop with VDXR is probably a good option for now, but tbh I still get as good wireless results with Air Link at 200mbps dynamic bitrate (hevc) and a pretty standard wifi6 setup. Probably a bit smoother than VD/VDXR with both my Q3 and QPro.

Anyway, everyone’s systems and flying styles are different. I mainly fly heli’s low and slow around cities like NYC, Osaka, LA, Busan, and Tokyo and get a very nice/smooth 40fps. For those that want to try alternative Link/Air Link settings you may want to try out my current settings I posted a few months ago. These continue to work very well for me.
