guy on reddit found a work around to use obs but not ideal
not sure if i can post links but he said…
“I found a work-around, of a sort. When I set the Direct-To, I can enter the CRS there. It’s not as convenient though, because I can’t fly “actual direct” first and then switch to the OBS mode with a single click and a spin of a knob. Even with the pre-entered CRS, I still can’t override things with OBS”
“This an issue with the aircraft cockpit behavior XMLs and needs to be fixed there, so unfortunately not something that’s an avionics issue. The aircraft devs will need to take care of that”
Seems like that issue cannot be resolved by WT alone but has to be looked at by the aircraft devs like Asobo etc.
Hopefully the responsible people will look at this post.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
i don’t know if this is the same issue or not but no matter what i do, whether i manually enter the flight plan, load it from simbrief, load it in the efb, manually enter in efb, do it in the world map, or after loading in, i cannot get the flight plan into the g1000. the map doesn’t show the magenta lines, or the flight plan at all. tried with several planes. KLAS to KTOA , nothing works. super disappointed. tried this is SU1 beta and the official “beta”

OBS course change not working through CRS knob nor in any other way.
Key feature with bug; disappointed…
I’m fairly certain that this caused by a new version of the G1000nxi and will have to be fixed for each individual aircraft. I base this on some comments by the WT guy in the latest dev stream, something @MrTommymxr posted in his DA62 thread - OBS works perfectly in his modified DA62 and a post by the lead WT developer bishop something or other - can’t remember where I saw the post.
My understanding is that the new G1000 is working properly but that most aircraft (maybe all of them) are not properly configured to use it.
I have a question regarding the physical installation of the Realsimgear G1000Nxi panel. I’ve just received a Flight Velocity panel cut for the G1000 suite, as well as the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo. The panel, however, is not pre-drilled for the G1000, and I would like to know if the G1000 is a bolt through mount or if it uses some sort of cam system for attachment?
Thank you in advance
