GAIST Global AI Ship Traffic V6 and Great Lakes

OK, so we should ignore this now?

there are two things… one is to relaunch the ships and the DFDS live traffic - another thing is global real time

first part is quite close

Thanks. I look forward with anticipation.

I haven’t had a chance to fly for a while (since WU10), but I had a short flight around San Francisco bay in search of some GAIST ships. Two that I found both had wakes but the smoke effects were not rendering properly - see screenshots. This may be my graphics settings, as I noticed afterwards that FS has reset all my settings to Low or Medium after the update (I hate it when it does that) - I have an RTX3060ti and usually can manage Ultra on most things, but I’d appreciate any thoughts?

I just tested and I think it is a setting issue - all ships until now have the same smoke effects and they work fine on both of my test computers after the latest update from Asobo.

Work continuing on the live version - this is the coverage with 1300 GAIST ships which are matched one to one with real life; still a few missing - another 200 different models will be used as the generic fill.

Henrik and Kai are working their magic, so these ships will soon appear in MSFS.

That’s something interesting - not about hard decks especially but about the possibility of putting spawn points on top of ships for helicopters…

Seems though that he is mostly focusing still on static objects - hard decks on moving ships was so easy to create in FSX and so much fun to land on so really strange it can’t get a higher priority.

Thanks… That definitely shouldn’t look like that.

Will get it corrected.

Below a few screenshots from testing the next version.
