Game freeze when online functionality is switched on

a note: teredo connection is not allways on.. you can check this easier within the xbox app.

That didn’t help.


I’ve gone through everything in the book, zendesk’s suggestions did not do anything as they were just what I had previously done.

Hello thanks for accepting me, my game version is steam I have a problem after updating, to v 1.19.9.0 when I try to fly or do any activity when I click the fly button, it stays on the next load page forever, in the task manager it says msfs It does not respond, since the community content is empty, I even started in developer mode, I have reinstalled the msfs from 0 and the same problem continues, I do not know what else to do I am desperate now … if someone knows another possible solution I will I would appreciate it, thank you very much !!

I’m having the same problem for days. Community folder is empty, every addon from market place is uninstalled and the sim stop responding when loading a flight.

Turning off online functionality solves the problem, but i won’t fly in a sim where I spent $60 and not even have sattelite data.

There are some people with this issue for months and even with the enourmous SU6, Asobo won’t fix this.

today I have updated the sim and everything remains the same, I have opened ticket in support. I no longer have any faith, I have thrown away my money and especially my time.

I opened a ticket in the support I did everything they told me and nothing, I deleted the aps that they told me, the configuration that they told me, all the steps one by one and the result was the same as always … Sh1t … restart today My win10 to factory status and I started the installation of everything from 0, tomorrow when I finish I will see if it has worked, bets are accepted … :zany_face:

Try reinstall w10. It works for me. I dont know why, but now works very good and fluid, sorry for my english, regards

I believe my only options is to reintall WIN10.

reinstall W10 did not help. Upgrading to W11 did not help. Now I am here with a PC i need to wholly set up again, and FS does not work.

Come on. Reinstalling the entire operating system cannot be a resolution for this.

I’ve seen people here who literally installed FS2020 on a completely different PC and the same issue still persists there. This is most likely an issue between the xbox live connectivity/your user profile/your router.

I think I have figured out a temporary workaround, as I can now play with online functions ENABLED.

How? Find FS from start menu, right click, app settings, then press repair, reset, uninstall. My game is installed on a secondary drive, and the vast majority of the game will not get deleted if I do it this way.

Here comes the important part: When you boot up FS next time, pay very close attention. The second the “syncing cloud data” window pops up, spam “cancel” as fast as you can. If you manage to cancel it before it’s done, you should be able to fly with online functionality enabled. You unfortunately also have to re-do all of your settings.

Now remember, you have to do this every time you open up FS, but it should be a temporary workaround. AND this is only further proof that the issue really is with something in cloud data.

PLEASE, If this fixed it make a zendesk ticket. MS prioritizes these by volume of reports, the more people report this exact issue the closer we are to a solution

This is insane. I just fixed it completely by opening the game, logging out of my account in the top right and logging into an account with NO GAME PASS, and now it works. That’s right – the secondary account does not need to own the game or have a game pass subscription.

I am in awe. I am dumbfounded. All of those dozens of hours this weekend attempting to fix the issue, and the resolution would turn out to be this stupid.

This is getting weird as hell. I just made a new XBox account and switched to it - game works. Only problem is that obviously I cannot access any payware content I’ve purchased through the marketplace, so this is not a definitive solution. But why would it work on another account? Asobo, please give us answers.

Really we already have the answer: Somewhere, at some point, as the game continuously saves into the cloud, something broken was saved there, which in turn made it so that it cannot properly configure your profile as it loads into a flight.

I agree, this is not a definitive solution. I fortunately never purchased any payware, so if I really have to I can do with this account. But this is extremely strange indeed.

I have done the same with the account, I have logged in with another xbox account and the game works perfectly. I’ll temporarily play like this until the developers find a solution.
