GAmod - offline version (new GA traffic addon)

I did do another run, and noticed that the first ones that came up, came up as they should. Including the ones on the ground. After a few minutes, is when the ones with the numbers started popping up.

Green highlight are the good ones.

Good call !!! I did forget to run my python script for C-G call names. Now they are fixed also. Check it out and give your final verdict. Same zip file allways, just updated 5min ago.

All good this time for callsigns. We are good there. :slight_smile:

The only item I had noticed, I have been testing using 30% on all the test runs, but this time I didn’t get as many aircraft as before. I had to go to 100% for them to start popping up. Don’t know what’s up, as I am assuming nothing in that regard was changed. Or maybe just a glitch in the matrix. I’ll do a couple more runs.

But the callsigns are now good.

I did decrease overhaul traffic (from a to a), because in high density are you had to use something like 2-3% density. With new amount of traffic, you can sure use 100 in low density area.

Ran it one more time and all good. I used 50% this time.

Nice 2 plane traffic at CYOO, which is very nice. :slight_smile:

I’ll do a normal run after dinner with the TBM 850 and see how it sounds with ATC. :slight_smile:

Just noticed one item on a long test, that most of the new aircraft popping up after a while are mostly DA-40’s. No Cessna’s and other flavours seem to be taking off from airports.

everything is fine here at same location. That DA40 glitch could be just a clock wise, i mean in every airport, they depart same time. If you wait 10-15min or press “increase sim rate” for 16x, you will see soon that other aircraft departs also.

  • AI Aircraft ATC callnames has edited to match depart aiport ICAO (basicly country of departure) WORLDWIDE!
  • Added some airforce cargo traffic worldwide, users to catch them with suprise.
  • Decreased traffic amount of worldwide, so users can increase traffic intesity.

Beta testers are happy with this update, specially in North America region. General Aviation AI aircraft callnames should be now by the book.

  • Helicopter traffic has exluded from base traffic pack. Now it is easy to enable or disable it, just removing it from community.
  • Hotballoon traffic has exluded from base traffic pack. Now it is easy to enable or disable it, just removing it from community.

I haven’t used this for quite a long time, but downloaded it as I was doing a tour of smaller airfields in Europe.

It works really well, the AI traffic is behaving nicely with a realistic amount of traffic.
Really appreciate the work that’s gone into this and for keeping it updated.

Why I don’t see the traffic on TCAS? In Longitude?

@Mar74pilot Because gamod traffic is injected by bgl, without simconnect in charge. Fsltl in injected by simconnect and is visible in radars/maps. Only way to see gamod traffic in map, is littlenavmap and there is free addon to it: Little Navmap VR Panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS

No, because .bgl´s arent injected by simconnect. I dont have a skills to do my own injector.

I’m really pleased to be using this mod with Simple Traffic and it’s great to finally have some GA populating the skiess!

All the flights I’ve seen so far seem to be IFR A to A. Is it possible to add some (more) A - other airports? It would be great to see local cross country flights. Hearing aircraft ask for clearance IFR A-A is a little strange.

Also, would it be hard to include VFR flights? GA aircraft doing local flights and flying circuits would be great.

There is lots of flights from a to b. About 20K. But focus is just a to a, because that is just what general aviation is about. Lets say 95% GA flights are just sightseeing or learning to fly. Every aircraft has parking spot from one airfield. So from a to b is rare. Or am i missing something?

That’s great if there are lots of a - b. I must be unlucky because I’ve been using the mod for 2 days while watching the traffic from various airfields and not seen any yet. Everything small has been a -a so far.
Although most VFR flights are a - a local flights, the flights in the mod are IFR, which would rarely if ever be a - a, and it sounds strange hearing aircraft asking for IFR clearance to the airfield they’re at. Usually a VFR flight would just announce they are VFR to the East, or something like that. However, I’m guessing you can only add IFR aircraft? That’s why I was asking about VFR.
