So I’m starting to enjoy older and smaller GA aircraft (e.g., the comanche) but as someone who has come from airliners and larger planes with nice nav systems (e.g., G1000), I’m having a bit of trouble with the more basic nav systems and using a mouse and even streakdeck keys. Just clunky for me.
I do have a RealSimGear mini AP panel but hit or miss on what it works for.
Thinking about either a G430 panel ($389), or G530 ($449) from RealSimGear The AP panel I have from RSG is very high quality and very happy with it. But these are a step up in price.
My questions:
Which one will I see more in payware and freeware GA aircraft?
Is the 530 a big upgrade over the 430?
Anyone have either of these units?
Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions.
Depending on where you hobby talent lies; you could buy a 3d printer and make both for less than the cost of the more expensive one.
I wanted a helicopter collective. Bought a printer for a third of the cost of the collective and made my own. Have made a ton of stuff since then too.
I built this whole stack for about $275. But you need more than just a printer. You need some building skills and tools. Mobiflight makes all this so easy to program. Check out www.flightsimdiy.com (currently offline for an up grade) we will be offering complete DIY kits for both units.
