The new Garmin Axis avionics system was unveiled today. Buttons, knobs, and touchscreen, all integrated similar to a G1000. Radio stack and intercom are integrated and it even has built-in GPS capability, so it eliminates the need for an external navigator like the GTN as well. Big displays, very streamlined. Seems to be targeted at the light certified piston and experimental markets.
And chance we might see this enter the roadmap?
I was just about to post a thread about this - you beat me to it.
I’m sure it would take more than a year for MS / Working Title to work through all of the capability, but I think it has potential as a developer drop in set of avionics for multiple aircraft.
Garmin posted a video, a little … syrupy with Apple-style marketing, but interesting functionality
What videographer decided it’s hipper to not look at the camera? Who you talking to, there’s nobody else here. You’re not Steve Jobs on stage, you’re in an effing hangar.
