Hope this helps generally.

Hello, can we open the trunk hatch too?
How? (it doesn’t seem to work like with the improvement mod).
The additional liveries of the tbm work?

have you also the registrations on the tail disappeared on the tbm?

The forward trunk hatch opens automatically with the pilot door. Yes even on imported liveries the tail number disappears for me.

If you’ll note, nowhere in the text does it say that the tick mark is 0 AoA. It says the whole white arc is the normal AoA range.

Normal AoA is a normalized value from 0 (zero-lift AoA) to 1 (stall AoA). Under normal flight conditions the pointer should be very low in the arc. The white tick is intended to provide an approach speed reference at 0.6 AoA (or 60% between zero-lift and stall).

It wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense to make the white tick 0 AoA, if you think about it. That would mean that the entire range underneath the tick mark would never be used in flight, as non-aerobatic planes aren’t really ever going under their zero-lift AoA.

In fact, since the update, impossible to use FS for more than 10min, without restarting the PC

I deleted everything in the community folder, I checked all the files via Steam (which made me reinstall almost everything), etc

But 10 min of maximum use and restart :man_shrugging:

Thanks. That pilot’s videos are always excellent. However, this time I do feel like I’m drinking from a fire hose. I’ve watched it a couple times and will many more times trying to understand it. Me not having those navigation charts are probably a problem too.

Going from a quick few clicks on the world map route planning to this is almost overwhelming.

I am really trying to figure all this out but I still feel like I’m losing the fun of flying and sightseeing of the pre-update MSFS us more casual MSFS players had enjoyed. I really wish we could have the choice of the pre-update TBM and the new one. That way we could enjoy MSFS based on our level of knowledge and over-time learn and ease into the new system if we choose to.

Thanks Bishop398, sorry I must have missed on your original response that the 0.6 reference was to the tick mark. Thanks again for the follow-up again!

Using only VR as I do is there a way to use the charts menu to store information like a knee-board?
Perhaps there is a folder that charts load from?

I see the problem. on the PFD home screen in the Nav Source, press that and change it to Nav 1 and it with the correct Localiser frequency it should display as LOC1 instead of Nav 1 indicating that its working. Hope this info helps you.

Oh you on an RNAV approach. Gotcha. Let me research this and get back to you in few minutes

Have you set frequency 116.1 for your RNAV approach runway 36?

RNAV approaches don’t require frequencies, they’re relying on GPS lateral and vertical positions to determine where you are in relation to the RNAV approach.

WideTracking, I fly another sim that is very hard core
fighter planes and weapons modelled as in the real thing with a very steep learning curve!..but there is an option for those who are overwhelmed and don’t appreciate the realism and that is to use the available ‘game mode’ as opposed to ‘sim mode’.
MSFS does not offer that, however you can enjoy the features to whatever depth you’re comfortable without necessarily needing to use all the auto pilot features all at once. I don’t like drinking from a fire hose either so I attempt a new feature once a week or so which doesn’t make me feel overwhelmed
but I do love the learning
and maybe you too can do it at your own pace and start appreciating the challenge.

After update I lost all master warning and master caution sounds in TBM 930. I can see it’s flashing yellow or red but no warning voice or sound. Example, setting the parking brake no sound, starting engine no voice which before it would say I believe “TAS system test ok” it’s missing. I can hear audible clicks when pressing switches but all voices like the stall or sink rate is not audible. Also before update if in sink rate or stall G3000 screen will be flashing red, but It doesn’t now. Not sure if it’s a bug or I pressed something when playing with new layout. My community folder is empty. I did check CJ4 I hear all the warnings only thing I’ve notice there is no stall warning sound, you get the usual sound of shaking yoke and that’s it.

I don’t want to speculate,

also I don’t have real experience with TBM but from SteveoK videos with new TBMs versions was clear that no sounds are there in case of Parking brake or Master warning accept push after start up or after other reason, maybe I’m wrong or didn’t look at videos carefully. Here we can believe only to WT, devs of sim and maybe if some real experienced type aircraft pilot describe correctly here

Another good tips, you can simply check videos on YouT channel with famous users and their MSFS expected aircarft type experiences. I bet you can see and hear there some procedures and also sounds depended to specific flight part and aircraft controls handling.

I have an issue perhaps someone can assist. I understand in the G5000 about the course reversal line, which is seen in my screen capture, but last time time i checked, a flight from New Jersey to Los Angeles is not over 4000 miles and should not take 10+ hours to complete. Anyone with similar issue or can show me something I am doing wrong. Also, when setting up my Vnav works perfect for about 2 minutes each flight. The FLC button then disengages itself and i have to push it a 2nd time. Again, anyone with this issue? It is every flight regardless of altitude limits etc etc. Thanks for any help
