Garmin GNS 430 and 530

Is there any plans to make GNS 430 and 530 usable in the forseable future?

I am a real pilot and I often use my flight simulator to keep my muscle memory intact especially practicing procedures. The current implementation of GNSs are really bad to a point they are unusable for those who uses a real GNS series in a real airplane.

I use the RealityXPs third party gps with xplane and it is very very close to reality. I am hoping either their products work with FS2020 soon or there is some attention to the GNS series GPSs that comes with FS2020.

Well, then I’d kindly suggest you don’t spread misinformation about Reality XP either! The only reason you can’t have any Reality XP add-on in FS2020 has nothing to do with ancient or older simulators technologies which are no longer available in the FS2020 SDK, not at all. Holly molly. I thought FS2020 was going to be a very open and welcoming sim for the community. At least that is what I have heard over and over again from the announcements. Those threads show the exact opposite. Wow.

I too am waiting and hopeful RXP will come to MSFS in the hopefully not too distant future.

In the meantime, this free mod is available, and it’s as good as it gets for the time being. I’ve been using this mod since it was launched many months ago, and it’s quite awesome. It updates both your GNS 530 and 430 to close to real life functionality.

It’s not 1:1 since it doesn’t use the trainer as its engine, but it’s as close as you can get within the limitations of the sim and it’s currently bad planning and navigation management system.
