We were promised a Garmin update for Sim Update 3, as a matter of fact, this was the top voted item on the development list.
What did we get? Very little that I can find.
Asobo picked up the WT G1000 mods, good!
And that is about it, as best I can tell.
Direct To.. still introduces a “USER” waypoint
NRST page, highlight a waypoint, Direct To.. still not working
Flightplan, select a waypoint, Direct To… still wrecks the flightplan
RNAV, LPV… still broken
That is after two hours of testing.. please feel free to add to this topic! 
Also for me none of the garmin GPS systems work.
I’m yet to rest the g1000 g3000 sets
no excuse for lpv not to work on the two most common gps units out there in small planes, 530 and 430

As mentioned in the release notes a restart should solve this issue:
- On rare occasions, Aircraft screens might not initialize correctly upon loading a flight. Please restart the flight to fix the issue.
