"GoFlight Products Now Compatible with FS 2020" - Really? - YES, kind of

Is there anyone here who made the rotaries on the RP48 work properly with FSUIPC? If so, I would appreciate a little help on that one.

Amir, here you go .. I start GFDevFSX.exe after Flight Simulator 2020 starts (and FSUIPCv7 for other things like buttons on the GF EFIS unit) and I find the MCP-Pro works well as-is. EFIS does not work (not tried the Polly Pot software yet) and am awaiting the SDK to improve in the future which should help us get these working better via 3rd party software such as Polly Pot etc. Good luck .. I can create a video if required showing you my working unit, let me know.
BTW .. I use the FlyByWire A320neo mod and it works well (except for the fact that you cannot pull the FCU selectors so you need a mouse click “in” the simulator) .. as well as the default B747.

Hey there! Would be awesome if you could do a video of your setup with the GF MCP and FBW A320 Neo please! I’m stuck also and have both the GFConfig software and FSUIPC7. I too have the EFIS, so have you managed to get that going?
Thanks so much!

Surely GoFlight will be putting something for MSFS out soon.

Goflight is dead.

I asked about the broken download and they replied back saying that they know the server is messed up and emailed me a download link for the config software, and added that MSFS is not supported properly and to use GIT from Pollypot instead! LOL

Hi rekless, I’ll sort it out in a few days, need to find some time after work! EFIS does not work in FS2020. MCP does .. and if someone who has invested in the Polly Pot software can share their experiences in FS2020, we can compare. I was not impressed with their offering for XP-11 (too clunky with that awful original GoPro user interface) and at £30, too risky for me, although to give them credit, it “sort of” worked with the Zibo mod. I’ll advise URL when done.

GoFlight are dead .. many many threads in various fora about how they’ve “abandoned” us. I wouldn’t trust them to keep the company or products alive anymore. I thought of getting other MCP products such as CPflight or OpenCockpits, but again, too risky until FS2020 matures for a few years.

Awesome! Thanks so much

I am so done with go flight! I have a $800 paper weight sitting on my top shelf! called out to them for over a year! Don’t fall into there trap should they decide to re-open! There a total disgrace They have now ripped off thousand like me and probably you if your on this channel?

I am using the Polypot UI, and am using all 3 radio panels and the MCP Pro. Only one that is partially working is the EFIS.

Use ALL modules in X-Plane.

That is better than using them as paper weights

I have the MCP Pro and G46 for radios. I had them working perfectly in FSX and P3d. However I have just updated to a new PC and decided that I don’t fly FSX or P3d much now that MSFS is here. So I’ve only got XPlane and MSFS on the new computer. I had the MCP Pro working in XPlane but the plug-in stopped working. So now it IS a paperweight. I’m hoping once the world craziness is over, Go Flight will update their software to support the “Sim of the moment”. MSFS can no longer be ignored as a major player in flight simulation now. Meanwhile, I’m loving VR and you can’t see the Go Flight modules in VR so it doesn’t matter.

Totally agree. Also with using Pollypot software for some panels (GF-46, GF-45) also a nightmare. I had still 5 panels but some stopped without notice. All things done on W10. USB powered hubs, disabled powermanagement etc etc. This was on X-plane. Asking goflight for support but without any solution. I will never go into payware panels again because it is depending on good software support. So for now i am looking into msfs SDK to develop something else.

So what i understand now from this thread. To use goflight possibly in msfs you have to use gf manager, GFDevFSX.exe and FSUIPCv7. Is that correct?

And pollypot.
That will make it work.

Thanks, will give it a try again!

Hi there. Does anybody has experience with Spad.Next software?

Sorry about the delay .. work leaves little time for flying .. and even less for video editing !

As I said above, you need the code, from my OneDrive:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvYOuI_9pyBihdxAnFF4Cgpr5LkkvQ?e=J5HNSv

Next job is to buy the PollyPot (PP) code and try that out .. as the EFIS is still a paperweight !
PP say that the EFIS needs manual setting up .. that’s what’s holding me back at the moment (and another £/$30).

FSUIPCv7 is very powerful, but just like the PP code, depends on the FS2020 SDK .. which does not expose all the GUI events (and reading the offsets tables published, here for example, gives me a headache!). I don’t know how to set up the EFIS with FSUIPC .. but I do map EFIS buttons to my custom views in the sim .. so not a complete waste !

My goflight stuff appears to be working when I do the steps above and start GFDevFSX.exe after MSFS is started. The lights on the radio panels work and can switch frequencies, push buttons and switches appear to work. rotarty knows change heading, obs, etc. still a work in progress. would be nice to be able to assign in the goflight config tool, like you can for fsx.

Thanks so much for this Captain!!! I finally got it working and although some quirks exist, can get around a couple of things and really increases the realism further. Huge thanks for the vid!

I just want to check if the latest update has broken your MCP at all? Only altitude works for me now :frowning:
