Is there a Manual to look at prior to purchasing I guess?

The video covers all the high points.

Aye, Having seen CAF’s PT-13 No. 17, Can’t wait to fly this.

Great addon, my only issue so far is that it’s missing sounds for controls.

Yes that was a tough decision for us. A WWise sound solution was not in the budget for this release. I would not rule out upgrade in the future, which all who purchased would receive at no charge. Time will tell. Thanks for taking an interest. It’s appreciated.

Thanks for responding.

Missing sounds/wind is my main issue as well, but that gets pushed aside by the remaining package.
Just had time to fly a short section from Salt Lake City to Wendover, but it was a fun little ride - despite a shaky flight with crosswinds of up to 17 knots.
Love the details of the plane and the flight model so far!

from the video the engine from inside the cockpit sounds very subdued. Morenof a purring than the racket I would expect from a radial. Nothing at all compared to the outside.

work on this one :grinning:

The cockpit sounds are accurate. That’s how a Continental powered Stearman sounds like.

Here is a badly filmed and very short phone video from a flight I did last summer. The harsh wind noise comes from the phone mic and isn’t as noticable in real life.

Looking great. Will get this so I can finally get started on the arrows across America.

If anyone knows of a way to donate to the air mail guys too please let me know.

Time will tell if other improvements may come to the Model 75 package from GAS.
However - not all ‘radial engines’ are equal.
Most Airshow Stearman have the 450hp Wasp and the warbirds you may be thinking of have the R2800 double Wasp radial installed. Those are much louder beasts than what these three aircraft fly with.
As to the sounds GAS has incorporated into these aircraft, the engines sounds from startup to shutdown are outstanding and seem right to me.
I’ve only sat in the front cockpit of a 220hp Continental powered Stearman in flight twice though -

The radial is not silent. Perfect for my ears

Done for us by a friend of GAS, Rachael aka AvAngel. Demonstrates the cockpit function and hand prop start sequence for the PT-17

Yes, that’s what I meant:
In the real life video you posted the engine sound is almost exactly like in the promo video’s EXTERNAL shots (i.e @ 6:45). But later in the video (i.e. @ 7:35) when we see the view from the cockpit the sound is much more subdued. Perhaps it sounds like that through headphones.

I can’t get the refueling to work, clicking on the pump makes it animate but no fuel is added to the plane.

Ah ok I see what you mean. The Stearman that gets flown in the promo video is the 300hp Lycoming powered one with a constant speed prop, which does sound different.

Here is a video I made with the 220hp Continental powered PT-17 Stearman. And it does sound very close to the real one =)

Ah understood. That’s more like it
Thanks!
