Please, please consider doing a wwise sound package - I donā€™t care if it comes as an additional purchase or an upgrade:
I can somehow live with missing cockpit interaction sounds, but the engine sounds not being spatial when moving my head around is disappointing (for me at least). I am using Tobii and I am constantly gawking left and right and forward and downward.

Also: Too bad the Stearman never came with floatsā€¦

Me, buzzing west-ish of Elko:

Weā€™d love to do a WWise package but currently there are a limited number of developers building them and they have the small developers over a barrel price wise. Time will tell. I appreciate you for taking the time to reach out.

I believe half a dozen of these float Stearman armed with mg were built for Argentina in the '30s ā€¦

Float? Not Amphibian? So heā€™s landed in the wrong place? Or forgotten what model he was flying lol

oh how I was hoping someone would open this can of delicious worms.
The Navy liked their own N3N on floats - often mistaken for a Stearman in its conventional ā€˜wheeledā€™ versionā€¦

so if we all think positive thoughts, Moriarity - maybe we can one day see the GAS Navy Works N3N in MSFSā€¦dare to dream

Itā€™s interesting how we get used to things and expect them to behave a certain way because thatā€™s the way they work in sim universe. Having flown in a number of small loud aircraft (including a T-34B with the canopy open at 5,000 feet), I can tell you that in my experience the sound in a loud cockpit isnā€™t nearly as directional as it is in a flight sim. Itā€™s just uniformly loud.

Certainly hope the folks who were so rude direct in their reactions to GAS on the Kinner Sportwing release will check this beauty out.

I think most people have forgotten that aircraft. I never see other people flying it and when I mention it people always ask about what it is.

I would definitely pay for a Wwise package

I still fly the Sportswing. I love it.

To be fair - I use TrackIR and barely notice the textures people disliked so much but I can see how if you were stuck in 2D- look-forward view they might get a bit annoying.

Hello,

If someone has some questions about the flight model, I suggest you to see the video of ā€œVintageSimulationsā€ (see the links above) and to read the comments of the person who made this video :ok_hand:

Really love this Stearman by GAS, thankyou so much.

I have also the model by DC and this is definitely a step up, great work.

If only the sound was not so ā€˜FSXā€™ā€¦

I know you have mention your position on a Wwise package but please give it really serious consideration, it would make this THE best vintage aircraft in the sim as it adds so much realism to the character of this beautiful airplane.

Now we have thisā€¦

SimAcoustics did this Wwise for DC ā€¦

Hope you donā€™t mind this post, but I really wanted make a case for Wwiseā€¦

Again thank you so much for creating this superb model.

(I will delete if not appropriate)

Seconded, I would as well. This is a really fantastic addon, and it would be that much better with a proper sound package.

Hello Chudamaru,

First, I am ā€œLagaffeā€ the technical developer of this addon so I need more information.

When you wrote ā€œimpossible to refuelā€ ā€¦ that have you done exactly ?
In my opinion, you should:

  • clicks on the tablet to display refueling
  • changes to view refueling
  • clicks on the crank which triggers the animation
  • comes back to the tablet
  • clicks again to remove the refueling tank ā€¦

I have just reviewed the documentation and an important point seems to have been forgotten in the Documentation\GAS_Boeing_Model 75_POH.pdf file.

=> When the animation of the crank on the tank ends, click on the black part at the top of the fuel gauge (below the upper wing) to no longer display the tank and finish the gaugeā€™s animation so that the level rises to the maximum.

I will try to find a solution to this problem by tomorrow.

I was really looking forward to this release, but I think the sounds may be a deal breaker for me. Is it totally quiet in the cockpit when the engine is off (No wind or ambient sound from the airport)? How is the sound from the wheels taxing, takoff and touchdown? Any stall or overspeed sounds?
Or is the engine the only sound you can hear?

Sounds are top notch, really. Personally, I feel like Iā€™m nitpicking at the lack of Wwise. The sound set it does have is really good.
