Great Update!

Great Update?

It’s a disaster for me sadly

Excellent update indeed, it seems the testers are doing their job since last update!
Only issue I had was not being able to turn the world map, but if you reset your mouse controls it works just fine again.

Great update for me too, so far… besides the Bush trips that are not 100% OK

The testers did a great job but weren’t able to report the TrackIR problems and the Vr problems?

The sim looks awesome but there is still a lot of work to be done

I used track ir and VR yesterday in a quick flight and did not notice any issues, what am I supposed to look for?

See this thread: A lot of people are having issues with it. Again the sim looks good and there are a lot of issues fixed but I just don’t get why these bugs get through beta testing

I don’t really understand anything, I was always at ultra locked 30fps with my 3070 i710700 . now after the update I am at 14-18-24 fps in Dx11 I can’t understand how there are people who have improved. I dont believe it. now the performance is worse I have more stutters

Interesting, maybe my flight was not long enough to notice. If they only broke this though we can consider us lucky hahaha most likely we will get a hotfix.

I hope so! I’m sure it’ll be alright etc and I hope that It’ll be a lesson for the future again

If you fly 2d only seems pretty solid. If you want to fly vr just steer clear of all the new controller stuff as that is a hot mess. But yeah performance and lighting improvements are pretty solid.

I class the Mouse not working in VR as Major Issue personally (as do others) that requires an immediate Hotfix, I’m sure the update elsewhere is very good but unfortunately I’m grounded until the above is fixed

Terrain is looking great especially around shorelines. Nice work!

The same impression as with the previous updates… some great improvements… but there are also some new bad bugs emerging…

please show me some screeshots of this “accurate weather” or with these “make clouds great again”, but not only directly at the airport but “onroute” !?
In my tests it looks like this - I wouldn’t necessarily call it accurate or beautiful. I’m not asking to prove the opposite here, but it could be that my installation is defective:
onroute LEIB - EDDS:

2 seconds after no fog layer or suddenly disappeared !

and this is the best I could find, looks like FSX at the beginning. maybe that explains the “performance jump” I noticed too.

BTW: you also don’t see cloud shadows anymore, at least with these quirks which are shown here !

I agree, this seems to be the best update so far. Good job Asobo!

Unforunaly still stutters at all Airports after SU7 :frowning:

screenshots please, it could be that the installation is defective for many others - and they do not see this beauty !!!

Update went smoothly. But I found a few very annoying issues.

The Carenado 170B cannot be taxied anymore. Tailwheel turns wildly and the plane veers violenty to the left (without corsswind!), Differential braking does not work either. I guess, that’s a thing Carenado must address. Until then, good bye to my bush flying.

Most of my view commands assigned to the keyboard were reset by the update to something else.

All my flight realism settings were reset to “Easy”, most assistance options were turned on by the update (they were all off before).

There are no Cockpit View Translate Up or Down commands in the Control Options anymore. So how do you reach those cockpit switches located down below where even looking down is not enough to recognize or operate them reliably?

Landing View still does not work. Well, to be honest, it stopped working already some updates ago.

Flying low, I encountered a lot of ugly synthesized scenery instead of RL satellite textures today. Maybe the data servers are too busy today?

Seems it is time again for a hotfix?

On the positive side:

Diamond DA40 TDI taxis again as it should. Thumbs up.

Switching off the automated logbook popup during shutdown works. What a relief!

don’t be a muppet…
