Grumman AA-5 aircraft

Has anyone know of any Grumman AA-5 series aircraft available for FS2020.
or if any developer has looked at or may even still look at making one.

Its what I did my training in back in the early 2000 and would like to recreate those flights around me home airport NZGS

Thanks

Sadly, I’ve seen no news of one. The only developer I’m even aware of to have made for any sim that is worth buying is vFlyteAir AA-5 and the odds of them coming to MSFS seem close to zero. I would love to see one from Just Flight, but seeing how long it’s taking them to get the Tomahawk out, I’m not holding my breath for any new GA news from them. Seems they’ve moved on to strictly larger aircraft.

Edit: Sounds like the lead dev of the Tomahawk had some health issues and they moved the project to a contractor, so hopefully the OG dev is doing okay! Anyway, still no news of an AA-5 as of the few minutes since I last edited this

Sadly no. This series of aircraft has always been “neglected” in sims.

Yeah I Guessed that it wouldn’t have enough following to get anyone interested in them
I had looked at the vFlyteair one a while back and hoped they might port over But no luck
oh well I will live in hope one day

I’m interested! Please, please, pretty please!

Got quite a large proportion of my PPL time on AA5A and it’s more powerful brother AA5B, which I loved.

This subject came up around 18m ago but nobody responded and sadly I also think that it’s a lost cause.

The odds of vFlyteAir bringing some of their planes to MSFS might be a bit higher than you suspect.

It’s certainly something they have spoken about being interested in doing.

You’re right! A friend tipped me off that they may indeed be building this aircraft for MSFS!

The AG-5B Tiger would be my preference for the speed, but I’ll take what I can get.

I really liked their Grumman Tiger and Cherokee 140. They make good planes.

as an AA5 owner I would certainly love to have this plane in the sim.

I’m a Grumman AA-5B Tiger owner also, and would love to have a sim version that doesn’t burn $8 per hour in fuel! If any of the big companies (Alebao, Carenado, A2A, etc.) would like to scan my plane, take measurements, etc. please contact me! These planes are very popular, Grumman American just didn’t make to many of them.
Please contact me here.

I loved the Traveller and the Tiger back in my PPL days. Would love to see it in the sim!

Where are you getting $1 100LL? I’m looking at 7gph at altitude in my traveler. 8GPH at lower altitude so for PNW flying that is $64 an hour.

Ooooppsss! I meant to say $8 per gallon, at 6-7 gallons per hour.

My friend owns one and we go up every now and again in it. Great airplane. Would love to see one in MSFS.

I’m assuming people aren’t confident in this development of an AA-5A?

Didnt know this was a thing. So this is very exciting. And looking forward to see it released

Wasn’t aware of it. Never heard of the developer. Have they released any other aircraft?

I didn’t know the USAF ever used the AA-5, but they have the roundel markings wrong in those screenshots.

Much as I would love to see this I’m not holding my breath. Unknown dev, “advertising” in a single post in one forum, nothing found when trying to search.
Judging by the posted pics it’s not very far advanced; TBH looks a bit “photo-shopped”.
Sorry to all the hopefuls, looks to me like a non-starter, well a non-finisher.

Having gained my PPL back in the 90s on AA5s, I’d too love to see one in MSFS2020. I brought this up on the A2A forum a while back and there was some interest. Great little trainer/tourer. Come on A2A/JustFlight/vFlyteAir, you know you want to!
