Seems like either an overlooked area of scenery design or something that just isn’t all that common in the real world anymore (most likely heavily skewed towards the latter).
Would love to see someone create some sceneries that resurrect old seaplane bases. The Marine Air Terminal building at LGA is present in most representations of LGA, for example, but no pier, ramp, etc.
