Downloading and installing GSX Pro…and boy I think installing MSFS itself was quicker than this. Anyone else experience extremely long install times for GSX Pro? Currently on hour 2.
I have a 1Gbps fiber line, but it’s been installing for an hour already. I’ve not experienced anything else like this when it comes to MSFS addons. How big is this sucker?!
Tt’s downloading 1 file at a time and it seems like there’s a hundred thousand files. I feel like it should just download a single zip and then extract. Very inefficient way download a program. Shew

No issues at all, I just “updated” (which does a full re-install) and it took the normal 1-2 minutes.
That is very odd. How many files did it download? I’m wondering if mine got stuck in a loop or something. I could see it continuously downloading files, going from 0% to 100% again and again. Thousands of times.

yes, the issues ended up being GSX’s server not playing nice. I stopped the download and quit the installer. Enabled a good VPN, re-started the install process and the download went much faster.
This has happened to me multiple times no (and from my searches apparently to a lot of people). So try the VPN approach and see if it works. Cheers.

if you’ve got good vpn app. just connect it to Italy. This will speed up your installation from a matter of hours to 10 - 15 minutes. Yeh, I really mean it.The server is quite limited in downloading bandwidth worldwide.
