Well done, that’s it ! It looks like a crater lake, in a place where there are no volcanoes…

Edit : after searching a little bit, it is indeed a crater lake ; the only one of Romania…

That was my first thought as well but luckily I quickly ignored it and focused on the vegetation. The main clue was the pattern of the fields. They‘re narrower than in most other European countries - something I remembered having seen in Romania. Then I just googled „mountain lake Romania“, looked at the pictures, and there it was.

Rather luck and a bit of experience I‘d say. The more you search the more familiar you get with what the various regions of the world look like. Simple as that.

Anyway, time for a hint. The facilities shown in the screenshot are quite special. There are only a few of these in the word. So it‘s not just some random place.

Looks like the Baikonur lauch site to me!

Oh, I don’t even know who that is
I probably should do. Mad Max?

Yes, the actor Mel Gibson owns Mago Island, Fiji.

I missed a trick there, had I been flying the other way it’d make a smiley face photo. :grinning:

Yes, Mad Max. Because of Mel Gibson, not because of Australia.
