Guess where?

Yes that’s exactly the spot, just North of Tessalonica. Your turn!

No poem… sad mushroom ;(

Looks a little New Zelaandy but I suppose that whole country has moved into “too small and easy to find places in” now in this game!

The dams make me think more “Columbia River” than New Zealand… But given the source, it is probably South America or something.

Oh come on Mr Duck that is too easy!

I think this one might be a bit more challenging.

Well done… I thought that was too old to be remembered by someone. I really need to renew my pics.

I’ll offer up a tip for this challenge. Probably not a good idea to search countries in alphabetical order.

Mugamya, Zambia?

At least I would like to narrow it down to the South of Zambia. How far away am I?

You are in the right country, that is all.

:+1: Well, that‘ll make it easier for the others then. I wouldn‘t be able to post a new screenshot till Sunday in case I really get it right, so I will sit this one out

Well done. For the benefit of others, this is a little East of Chipembe, North of Lusaka.

The Meadows is my name - you might have seen ?
My likeness on…the silver screen.

A slug of Jim’ll keep ya sweet, all the way down to Bourbon Street.

Toast David Herbert as you board my chopper,
Indians! Roll on South…the girls are hotter!

The bridge down there? 'Nam got me through!,
That West Texas Sheriff, yeah…he knew.

The landscape and part of your poem led me to Pleasanton CA but the rest doesn’t seem to fit.

Hi there, the location is in the lower 48 but not CA. I did actually name the location in the first line of the clue…kinda…

Las Vegas, New Mexico. That was a fun riddle.

Consolidated posts.

Bridge Street, Las Vegas, New Mexico…not her bigger sister over in Nevada…(Las Vegas means literally The Meadows) was the location of the photo you shared, seen under my plane.

Toast ‘David Herbert’ refers to Jack Nicholson toasting DH Lawrence as he’s released from jail in “Easy Rider”

‘Chopper’ means

A) Slang…helicopters (referencing the ‘chop-chop’ sound of the rotors)

B) Custom-built motorcycles with ‘Ape Hanger’ handlebars above the elbow. Built by ‘chop-shops’ (edgy back-street places). Some made a fortune! Choppers!

C) Something else not relevant in this chat, ahem…

The bridge I referred to…also in the shot…featured in “No Country For Old Men”…when Josh Brolin tries to enter the States from Mexico - he said he’d 'been in ‘Nam’ and the border guard let him in.

It took me a while because I didn’t know there was a Las Vegas in New Mexico, so I skipped Las Vegas at first when I was checking out Easy Rider filming locations because I thought it was THE Las Vegas.

Welcome Mr Shack!

Dare peasants like us look for crumbs of comfort with a zippy hint? A tiny zephyr-like clue?..A merest, dare I say “Wafer Thin” glimmer of a clue ?

It looks a bit “Faroe-ish” / Scottish / Nordic. I might have actually flown exactly over that spot IRL…Mmm…

That’s just a fancy way of saying…Come On Man! Give Us A Clue.
