You‘re on the right track. By the way, it could be that in Google or Bing Maps there is no island, but a peninsula. It depends on the water level.
So is it a reservoir rather than a lake?
It looks like it. I can see a dam wall
Chirkei, Dagestan, Russia
That looks astonishingly similar, but is still completely wrong I’m afraid .
@Haddock314945 came closest so far.
Oak View + Lake Casitas
“Four-Letter-Word”. 2 minutes too slow!
Yes, that’s it .
Your turn.
I chose this one because it reminds me of holidays. Here’s a photo I took this last year during the descent into LAX showing the area. That was a spectacular approach.
Funny thing is, I’ve never been to the US ; I recognised that mountain ridge (with pretty altitude lakes) because I participated in SeedyL’s Cannonball races (KJFK to KLAX), and Big Bear Lake was my mountain pass into the L.A. plain.
(I’m not home, so expect a slight delay before the next pic. Open your atlases and do some homework ! )
Wow that’s an interesting one. Looks like something out of The Matrix. Am I right?
No. But I can confirm the real place looks just like that, it’s not a MSFS graphical glitch.
Vinkeveensee Plassen, South of Amsterdam
Well done.
Yay … I beat the aliens to one
Will post in ten

European street angles … Pointy snow-compatible roofs … Trains …
Scandinavia ?
I would like to say yes … but no, not in the Scandies
Try again.
So as well as the main railway lines, that looks like an elevated railway going into the building (a station?) in the centre. Somewhere in Central Europe; maybe Germany?
