Yes yes I am well aware of what you’re saying and yes nowadays I know better but then to us green to Germany brits there was practically no difference - especially over the telephone to the ears of a young lady that had never been east or south of Manchester. To quote her exact words “Oooer you don’t want to go there there’s a bloomin war on!”
K2 doesn’t look like that. It’s much prettier. What about, based on that clue, Elbrus?
You are right! In every aspect. I havent fly the Karakorum and cant tell how it looks in msfs but in real its sheer beauty…as well as the caucasus.

I hope we have lenticular clouds someday in the sim.
And of course Elbrus is correct, enjoy your turn!
Yay! I will post something within the next 12 hours or so.
Lenticular clouds would be amazing in the sim…. But I want to see wing vortices first….
Speaking of flying in the Karakoram (@Theduck38 will appreciate this):
Bear in mind that 3 (and almost 4) of the 14 highest peaks in the world are in that video, and these guys have glided in there from 100 km away, reaching over 7500 metres in altitude in the process and they will then glide back to their starting point… the shot of them doing the flyby of one of the high camps on Broad peak the whole video is epic.
Salton Sea, California?
That’s it. Too easy, evidently. Your turn.
Well, the lake made it pretty easy, yes. But I don’t mind an easier one from time to time.
The next one shouldn’t be too difficult either.
Lake Orestiada (a.k.a. Lake of Kastoria), Greece
Yes, that‘s it. Your turn
Great paragliding video. Thx @LKFJP.
Another paraglider went up to 8407m over the Broad Peak in 2021 ! I think this record is still valid today (not taking into account the accidental 9946m record of a German pilot who was taken by a cumulonimbus).
Aso Volcano, Japan.
That‘s correct. Your turn.
At the risk of being off topic (but we’re all friends here, right?), there was also the pair who flew off the summit of Everest in a tandem in 2012. The paraglider pilot was an expert paraglider pilot with lots of Himalayan flying experience but only a novice climber, his passenger was an experienced high altitude sherpa and climbing guide. The one friend guided the other up to the summit, then the other took over and flew them both down. They won National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for their trouble. Look for the documentary on YouTube; it is there.
A little hint: this is for the series buffs.
M.A.S.H? maybe … but then surely Uijeongbu has hills?
