Having wind speed in knots rather than km/h

I did a quick search and from what I found, it seems there’s currently no way to have MSFS report the wind speed in knots rather than km/h as seen below. Or is there a setting for this somewhere which I missed?

change the metric system to U.S. imperial.

Or you can just divide by 2 to get close enough.

Knots is nautical, not imperial. One nautical mile is 1,852 km. One imperial mile is 1,6 km. Big difference.

Ugh, he is just telling the poster how the setting is named in the game. No need to talk down on him.

i just said to change the system of the measurement, not if its nautical or imperial!

The “official” rule of thumb way is: divide by 2 and subtract 10%. Both are very easy to do.
For km/h to kt it’s the other way around (add 10%, multiply by 2 or multiply by 2 and add 10%, doesn’t really matter).
But I agree just dividing / multiplying by 2 is often close enough. Especially with winds which fluctuate all the time anyway.

BTW - you can use the same formula to get m/s from kt. It’s moreless kt / 2.

10 km/h ~= 5kt ~= 2.5 m/s ~= 500fpm

It simply something that was supposed to be fixed, but never was…

It should be km/h using metric in the option and knot when using hybrid, but it’s not working.

…and my question was why it’s showing km/h when using hybrid. Since I’m used from other simulators showing the wind speed in knots when using that setting.

Got my answer and let’s hope it will be addressed down the road.
