Help with fsltl install 2024

Can anyone offer any support to what is wrong here please

Try updating to the latest FSLTL injector app, 1.6.8 I believe.

Still the same

Where does you UserCfg.opt file show the Packages folder, under which the Community folder resides, is located? It is on the last line of that file, which can be found in your MSFS appdata root directory, and should match the MSFS Community folder Directory in the FBW Installer, minus the Community sub directory of course.

Also, per your most recent FSLTL injector screenshot of version 1.6.8, it looks like you have not started MSFS 2024 as it has defaulted to MSFS 2020, which mine does too if I don’t start MSFS 2024 first and, since I don’t have MSFS 2020 installed, I see the same error message. Try starting MSFS 2024 first.

It looks like in the installer settings you selected the Community folder for MSFS2024, but you’re launching MSFS2020 instead. That’s why you’re getting the “Could not find Community folder” error.
Please make sure the patch is installed to the correct Community folder for the version of MSFS you’re using.

What happened?

So I have tried about 3 times now resetting the directory defaults to standard but each time it can’t find the correct path. I have tried editing the config file also to match and it still didn’t work. I uninstalled fs2020 months ago but it seems to still look for that. I only have msfs2024 installed. I can take more pics of config file and edit let me know what you need to see and then I can correct it to what it’s meant to be. Thanks everyone

Please open the file usercfg.opt in Notepad and scroll down to the very last line. Then, copy the line that begins with InstalledPackagesPath and paste it into your reply.

InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\leedr\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache"

You mentioned that InstalledPackagesPath is set to:
C:\Users\leedr\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Can you please check if there is actually a Community folder directly inside that LocalCache folder?

By default, the correct path should usually be:
C:\Users\leedr\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages
and the Community folder should be located inside that Packages folder.

I also noticed in your screenshot that there’s a small error in the path – there shouldn’t be two backslashes \\ before Community.
The correct format should be, for example:
...LocalCache\Community
or
...LocalCache\Packages\Community
instead of
...LocalCache\Packages\\Community

Deleted by user - TenPatrol found it.

I will edit the config file now and retry…

You don’t need to edit the config file manually - it’s enough to simply reselect the correct folder in the FBW installer. Just point it to the right Community folder and it should work properly.

For example

Go to
C:\Users\leedr\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

Take a screenshot and paste into your reply.

It looks like you’ve mixed up some of the paths and folders, but no worries - I’ll help you sort it out step by step.
