Honeycomb Aeronautical Charlie rudder pedals

Yes it’s not ideal but I think once you find a tension you like you’ll leave it alone and won’t need to touch it again.

Yep. Many things he complained about really didn’t make sense. The weight of the pedals and his chair moving made me roll my eyes.

Yeah me too. That’s a common issue if using an office chair with a few solutions too.

Regardless of the review quality, its appearance now doesn’t seem to indicate a launch in the near future. I asked about this in the comments and double checked Aerosoft’s site. As confirmed by them, shipping is now expected to start in the second quarter of 2023, contrary to their previous statement:

I ordered back in June last year and I think I’m gonna wait as I quite like what has been shared so far on the Charlie pedals. Honeycomb’s non-communication remains abysmal though.

I wouldn’t hold my breath until they start taking pre-orders. They maybe stringing people along, so they don’t purchase another product. I already gave up and went another route, but I want to hear everyone’s initial feedback.

Same here. I was looking forward to these because I like my Bravo and Alpha. But I gave up waiting and went with something else. The ones I got were more expensive, but at least I can use them rather than sit around and wait for years.

Same got the bravo and XPC alpha last year. Like you I bought the TPR and they didn’t disappoint.

I am strongly considering the same as I just don’t trust them that much any more.

I Just received the email. They are now available for pre-order.

Appr release end of june usa, end of august europe :flushed:. I pre ordered mine may 29th ‘22…

Same here. I’ve gotten used to waiting for Honeycomb products. I waited for the yoke for six months. The throttle took roughly a year and now the pedals will gross at around 15 months. Sigh…

That’s what you call a fake-launch… Sigh

All - Received my Virpil Rudder Pedals last week. Took schedule a day to clear so I could put them together and configure, and try. First never had pedals before, so it’s taking me some time to get used to them. Took out the medium spring and left in the large spring for left/right. Think going to put the brake spring up one more notch so it’s a tad bit harder to press braes. Otherwise, EXCELLENT build quality and durability. Everything is metal, not one peice of plastic on them except the wire insulaton. Highly Recommended to get one for your rig. Not made in China like many of the others are. Took about 4-5 weeks to receive.

Which pedals did you buy… ace flight pedals?

Yes, so I have all the possible “feet options”.

Thought so… all bases covered :grinning:

I had a look on the EU website, out of stock otherwise I would have seriously considered them, look very well made and I’ve heard mixed reviews regarding the Charlie rudder pedals.

I’ll stick with my cessna pedals for now which are ok but don’t look like they’re as accurate or can be as fine tuned as the ones you’ve got.

Nice purchase!

Yes, like every other place on planet, material shortages (war in Ukraine not helping), and I don’t know if they are suffering with labor issues, like here in the states, no one wants to work anymore. Wish I was 50, could have my pick of great high paying jobs, in any number of technical fields, Sorry to digress.

I can tuck them away off to the left under desk and they are not in way when not flying. I am short one USB port, so I just unplug them when need to have DVD Burner/Player connected.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, we could have had power blip (UPS online all time) because my 284 dollar ASUS Claymore II keyboard had two keys go into “intermittent land-work some and then not” back to my Logitech C910 (way looser feel), but it works. Going to see if the switches can be replaced, and get it working. ASUS wanted 156 to replace it, but that took my investment into the 450 range for a keyboard, NOPE. DO not recommend that keyboard if it fails that soon after install about 18 months. Although, it has the best feel of any keyboard I have ever used period, and very tight as well, no slop between keystrokes. But way to expensive and then have it fail in service. Happy Flying.

Heaven help you should you need a spare part and live in Canada. They no longer deliver there! No rudders for me

And now delayed till September, shambles

Currently stated on the Aerosoft website “PRE-ORDER NOW | Limited quantity of the first production expected to be available from Q4/2023”, which can also be December 2023. Owning the Alpha and Bravo, I am/was looking out to complete my setup with the Charlie but at this moment it smells like vaporware. I am for now happy that I did not pre-order.

Since November 2021 I am using my 3d printed pedals and they seem to hold pretty well.
