Brief description of the issue:
I just got my Honeycomb Bravo today Dec 10th. 2021, and I was trying to configure the Flaps, I was watching some videos online and everybody said that the Flaps should be on FLAPS AXIS (-100 TO 100%), but I can’t find the FLAPS AXIS (-100 TO 100%), I typed on the search by name and searched everywhere and couldn’t find. Am I missing something or it doesn’t exist anymore?

Which flaps are you trying to configure? The built in Flaps lever on the far right under autopilot? or configuring one of the levers for flaps (like an airliner?)

If the ladder of the two, you are looking for,

Flight Control Surfaces → Secondary Control Surfaces → FLAPS AXIS

I suggest RMAG’s video on setting this up.

The Lever for flaps. If you look to the pics, you will not find it. I watched that video, and I was configuring mine watching his video and I couldn’t find the FLAPS AXIS (-100 TO 100%).

FLAPS AXIS is in your second screenshot.

Just type “FLAPS” in the search by name section to make it easier. You want to use the “FLAPS AXIS” binding not -100 to 100.

Hi @henryfox2001,

As your topic isn’t a bug report, I’ve moved it to the #self-service:peripherals category which is more appropriate :+1:

Thanks!

That was the first thing that I did. I couldn’t find it anywhere.

Is it there now?

Nop. I watched a bunch of videos trying to figure it out but nothing yet.

Flaps do not go negative. You only need 0-100

Please, go to the Youtube video above and watch starting at 6:47 minutes and you will see what I mean when I can’t find the FLAPS AXIS (-100 TO 100%).
You will see what I can’t find on my Controls Options.

Variable names may have changed since that video was made. But using “flap axis” (the -100 - 100 no longer exists) as seen in your second picture (second line from the top) I just checked and this one worked in two very different planes, A320 and in the 152.

WeptBurrito2749 is correct, the -100 was a digital binding and not an axis binding, so the video is out of date, and I also don’t think it exists anymore.
Asobo updates the Control Options along with everything else and you will not be informed about it, I have learnt that lesson.

I tried everything and nothing worked, I just watched a video from Nov 23, 2021 that is showing the “FLAPS AXIS (-100 TO 100%)”: Honeycomb Bravo Airbus Throttles - Two Engine Configuration - YouTube - please skip forward to 4:23 minutes and you will see what I’m talking about. And I think the last update was on Nov 18th.
I already formatted my computer thinking that it was something wrong with it, but it still doesn’t work, I tried using all the flaps possibility, but nothing.

That video is older than it appears, sim version in the video 1.20.6.0 which is SU6.

In the control options, search flaps and make sure its not bound anywhere else.

Can you adjust the flaps with the mouse?

Did you try a different lever? And/or try putting something else on the one that isn’t working to rule out a bad lever?

Nop, it moves down and go back to the top, even using the mouse.

I would suggest the following;

  1. Search by Input
  2. Move the lever
  3. Ensure no bindings show up, if one does delete it
  4. Search “FLAPS AXIS”
  5. Run the lever to set the binding
  6. Select “Reverse AXIS”

This is how mine is set currently and is working.

I hope it helps.

Ah, that means there’s something else setting the flaps. I’ll bet theres a switch set to flaps up somewhere.

Do you have any idea what should be the problem?

In the control options page, search flap, and filter by assigned and check if any flap setting is assigned anywhere else. On the bravo or any other hardware you have. Something somewhere is messing with your flaps, as shown by your mouse interaction

Hi Henry
You are probably sick of ideas by now but can you try this.

If you click the Filter button and set it to " ALL " you will find that " Flaps Axis " will appear in the Mouse section, and Keyboard section, basically every Control device will show " Flaps Axis "
I have an Xbox controller plugged in and it also has shows " Flaps Axis "
( I don’t think it’s possible for your installation to be different especially since you re-installed everything)

Don’t forget the Slider animation for the “Axis” does not appear in the Control Panel until you assign the Honeycomb Lever to that Axis.

You can move the slider to assign, but try selecting the Flaps axis from the dropdown menu and see if that works.

The -100 option is not in the Sim anymore or we would all see it.

I have the TCA +addons and the flaps work perfectly with " Flaps Axis "
