How do I copy all of my controller profiles to a new PC (Steam)

Just finally put together a new beast PC build and I really would like to avoid setting up all of my controller bindings again. How can I move them?(Steam version)

I tried copying the old items out of /Steam/userdata/xxxxx/xxxx/remote to the new machine but when i launch the game the profiles aren’t selectable in game, just the defaults.

Any clues? We all know the pain of setting up about 60 peripheral mappings lol.

Disable cloud in Steam for FS-2020
Then your profiles should get read.
After they are found by FS-2020 you can turn cloud saving back on in Steam

usually you should not need to copy/paste the remote-cache from one pc to the other one. It is stored in steam cloud and you get the files from the steam cloud automaticly. You can check Steam cloud content manually , e.g. here’s the link : Playtime gone missing [Packages out of date] - #31 by MichaMMA

Worth to try is the Disable-Steam-Sync trick , which @EnsiFerrum666 mentioned. But in case there are still files in steam cloud, steam should ask you after re-enabling which files you want to use.

PS:: shareing your steam userid is not best idea. remove that allways from links you post..

I’ll try that!

That’s what I thought, but not the case. Nothing carried over it’s just a fresh install of msfs and my previously boudn controller setups are missing. I’ll check that manual link…and thanks about the ID lol.

So that link shows my synced files for MSFS are in fact, in the cloud.

So…how do I get the new install to pull those down from the cloud and use them in the new PC??? Thought this was all supposed to be automatic

Once you’ve installed MSFS go to your controls settings page … simply rescan a single setting and apply and save, all your controller profiles should then be there and functionable.
