I have downloaded many flight plans (.pln format) from Flightsim.to, Miscellaneous, Flight Plans. I use MSFS_Addons Linker and load them into a separate folder in that program hoping that I can access them and load them into MSFS. That isn’t working for me, as the .pln does not show up when I attempt to load them as a flight in the sim. I know that you can make up a flight and then save it for future use, and that these are saved in the sim somewhere. Can I simply load these other .pln files into that MSFS file and then access them. If so how? I am at a complete loss as to the right process.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Rick
I have not tried flight plans from .to, but have used a bunch from this site: https://worldtour.flights/flightplans?page=2
You should be able to download the .pln file to any place you want. Then on the “world” page or whatever it’s called, choose “Load/Save” at the bottom, find your file where you put it and hit Load or Open. The plan should then be loaded into the Garmin when you start the flight.
MSFS Addons should not be required.
I think the default flight plan folder is LocalState. Move or copy the folder you put them into to LocalState.
Thanks for the quick response and the url for more flights. I will certainly make use of that source. Tomorrow I will try this easy process for storing and retrieving the flight plans.
Thank you for the quick reply. It sounds so simple but it appears that I may not have saved and filed away my earlier downloads correctly. I will work it out tomorrow.
